This team is responsible for planning, managing, and executing production of Aurora products. Quality, on time delivery, and cost controls are essential to the success of the Hardware Operations - Manufacturing Team.\nIn this role you will\nManage a team of Production Planners and Project Managers\n\nCommunicate manufacturing status to Hardware leadership at recurring check ins, development gate reviews, change control board, risk assessments, and program meetings; Includes a clear indication of schedule, quality and budget for any production job\n\nChiefly responsible for delivering the supply to meet aggregate manufacturing demand for Aurora, including vehicle and independent demand for both internal and external manufacturing as well as repair and maintenance of the Aurora Driver Kit.\n\nTrack and control key performance indicators listed in the Quality Management System, such as cost metrics and production efficiency\n\nHost manufacturing production stand ups for Vehicle Integration, Integrated Modules, Subassemblies and Harnesses inclusive of all collaborative teams\n\nSupport fleet demand for hardware issue resolution, changes, upgrades and spare parts demand\n\nChampion and facilitate the use of the ERP system to log all business transactions, including job work data and inventory controls\n\nEnsure Production Readiness and Clear To Build for Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Benches, Modules, Computers, Harnesses, and Integration Assemblies\n\nCollaborate with New Vehicle Introduction engineering for the creation of Manufacturing BOMs (MBOM), support data management and part creation in the ERP\n\nCoordinate with manufacturing leadership for resources and technicians to maximize production efficiencies, yet maintain flexibility to adopt approved design changes\n\nCoordinate material processes with Supply Chain, Quality, VRE, SEO, HW Product Engineering teams\n\nManage HW Product Rework with urgency to minimize Fleet downtime\n\nDrive continuous improvement in production, and minimize production downtime\n\nRequired qualifications\n10 years of experience in production management; may include time spent as an individual contributor in a production office\n\nKnowledge in Production Planning\n\nExperience with ERP implementation and continuous improvement\n\nAbility to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing designs\n\nAbility to learn and adapt quickly to changing designs\n\nManufacturing in R&D environments\n\nDesirable qualifications\nProficiency in ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems\n\nProgram or Project Management skills\n\nKnowledge of JIRA and Confluence\n\nBachelors of Science degree in engineering\n\nMasters in Business Administration degree\n\nFinancial and accounting foundational knowledge\n\nFor roles based in Pittsburgh, PA: The salary range for this position is $133,000 - $213,000 per year. \nAurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
