This individual will work closely with design engineering, internal manufacturing, NPI test engineering, purchasing, supply-chain and the contract manufacturer.\n\nLead planning, execution, and management of day-to-day actions for hardware modules (lidar, computer, pods etc.) with regard to their readiness for manufacturing EOL (End of Line) test. Communicate with CM (Contract Manufacturers) on each program and drive escalation regarding items/schedule. Partner with the development, systems, and test technical leads to represent activities at the relevant cross-functional meetings.\n\nPro-actively schedule meetings or discussions with cross-functional partners to help unblock the engineering teams for manufacturing test readiness.\n\nAct as a liaison between manufacturing test and the development teams regarding all items which are related to the product launch at CM and internal manufacturing.\n\nTrack and communicate manufacturing test yield, test data, and Pareto analysis to the stakeholders.\n\nProvide manufacturing test readiness status updates, risk assessments, and mitigation plans for weekly hardware program reviews and updates.\n\nRun Change Control Board for hardware test from B sample on, and manage all change request schedule/execution.\n\nRequired qualifications\nExperience managing engineering changes in short schedule development cycle\n\nExperience with developing safety critical hardware, bonus points for experience in robotics, automotive, or the aerospace/defense industry.\n\nExperience with launching new hardware products to market and managing hardware product life cycles.\n\nStrong technical understanding of manufacturing and EOL test processes and test data management.\n\nStrong PLM experience with tools such as Arena\n\nExperience with project management tools such as Smartsheets, MS Project, etc.\n\nExperience with task management tools such as Jira, Jira Tools, Confluence, etc.\n\nDesirable qualifications\nAt least 7 years experience managing complex hardware development programs and manufacturing processes\n\nPreferred experience with moving prototype products to High Volume Manufacturing and/or new line bring up in Asia\n\nExperience in a safety critical hardware industry (aerospace/defense, automotive, medical devices, etc)\n\nExperience with the full product lifecycle (including development, verification, and market introduction)\n\nExperience with AV or robotics\n\nExperience and familiarity with the Agile development methodology (no certification is required)\n\nThe base salary range for this position is $181,000-$290,00 per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
