You will help change the commercial trucking industry and play a key role in delivering data to engineers in an effort to continually improve our product.\nDuration: 12-month assignment (with the potential to extend).\n\nHours: Guaranteed 40 hours per week.\n\nBonus: Eligible for a performance based bonus of up to $2,000.\n\nSchedule: Multiple day and night shifts are available depending on the location. (Please note: Shifts may include weekends).\n\nIn this role, you will\nSafely pilot autonomous semi trucks for on road and closed course testing in service of our development and commercial pilot operations\n\nRemain alert and attentive while monitoring the Aurora Driver during extended stretches of autonomy\n\nLog real time feedback regarding autonomy and platform performance during testing, to be delivered to engineers\n\nEscalate operational blockers with suggested solutions\n\nCollaborate cross-functionally with teams throughout Aurora to help drive progress on Aurora’s mission\n\nDemonstrate positive impact at Aurora by working on cross-functional projects as time permits\n\nMaintain up to date knowledge of how our self-driving technology works. Understand daily software and operational changes.\n\nMaintain active and current status within required partner applications. This includes ensuring up to date user accounts, profile information, and necessary access permissions are configured and regularly verified across all critical third-party vendor platforms.\n\nAchieve and sustain all mandatory certifications and accreditations as designated by management, compliance bodies, or critical partner agreements.\n\nWork toward quantitative and qualitative goals that impact all of Vehicle Operations and Aurora\n\nInteract with the public as an ambassador for Aurora\n\nRequired Qualifications\nMinimum 3 years of experience driving trucks commercially\n\nValid U.S. Driver’s License\n\nInterstate Class-A Commercial Driver's License\n\nDriving record must pass Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) guidelines\n\nExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal\n\nAbility to prioritize and make strategic decisions proactively\n\nAbility to travel as needed: (up to 90%)\n\nAvailable to work night shifts (second and/or third shift)\n\nAbility to work rotating shifts as needed\n\nAbility to work regular overtime and some weekends\n\n80% of shift time spent in vehicle (vehicle as office)\n\nMust pass pre-employment, post-incident, and randomized drug testing in accordance with FMCSA requirements.\n\nIs at least 21 years of age\n\nMust pass DOT physical\n\nMeet all DOT qualifications\n\nDesired Qualifications\nTruck driver trainer/instructor experience\n\nTruck technician experience\n\nInquisitive attitude, interested in problem solving and solving puzzles\n\nExperience in operations, technology, customer service, or automotive field.\n\nExperience working in a collaborative environment - team player\n\nProficient in G-Suite\n\nCommand line interface experience\n\nInterest and aptitude for technology tools - apps, gaming, adobe creative suite, etc.\n\nFor roles based in Dallas, TX: The hourly wage range for this position is $31.00 - $38.50 per hour. \nAurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
