This is a 12-month fixed term opportunity based at our Haymarket office and reports to the Senior Manager, Governance.

What you’ll be doing

Working across a broad range of stakeholders, you'll help keep compliance and governance activities organised, visible and progressing. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting compliance and risk activities associated with our Regulatory project.
  • Coordinating actions and helping ensure compliance requirements and agreed processes are followed.
  • Supporting work to review and simplify delegations.
  • Coordinating data mapping, records and associated compliance activities.
  • Tracking actions, risks and audit-related activities and maintaining accurate records.
  • Preparing reports and providing clear visibility of progress, issues and outstanding actions.
  • Working with stakeholders to identify gaps and support practical improvements to processes, procedures and ways of working.
  • Confidently following up, asking questions and constructively challenging where requirements or processes haven't been met.
  • Coordinating multiple activities and stakeholders to keep work moving and deliver outcomes.

You’ll Bring

Our hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values.

  • Experience working in compliance, governance, risk, audit, regulatory or a related environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to records, actions and follow-up.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and competing priorities.
  • The confidence to respectfully push back, challenge and hold stakeholders accountable when processes aren't being followed.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • An analytical mindset and an ability to identify gaps, risks and opportunities to simplify or improve processes.
  • Experience in reporting, action tracking and applying governance or compliance frameworks.
  • A collaborative, pragmatic approach and willingness to get involved.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering or a relevant discipline, will be advantageous and experience managing audit interactions and analysing risk, process improvement experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
