This is a hands-on role supporting compliance and risk activities for our Regulatory project, while helping coordinate a range of governance and process improvement initiatives.\nYou will be someone who naturally pays attention to detail, enjoys bringing structure to multiple moving pieces and isn't afraid to respectfully challenge or ask questions when something doesn't look right or established processes haven't been followed.\nYou don't need to be the person with every answer, we are looking for someone who is curious, brings a can-do attitude and is comfortable getting into the detail with the confidence to speak up when needed.\nThis is a 12-month fixed term opportunity based at our Haymarket office and reports to the Senior Manager, Governance. \nWhat you’ll be doing\nWorking across a broad range of stakeholders, you'll help keep compliance and governance activities organised, visible and progressing. Your responsibilities will include:\nSupporting compliance and risk activities associated with our Regulatory project.\nCoordinating actions and helping ensure compliance requirements and agreed processes are followed.\nSupporting work to review and simplify delegations.\nCoordinating data mapping, records and associated compliance activities.\nTracking actions, risks and audit-related activities and maintaining accurate records.\nPreparing reports and providing clear visibility of progress, issues and outstanding actions.\nWorking with stakeholders to identify gaps and support practical improvements to processes, procedures and ways of working.\nConfidently following up, asking questions and constructively challenging where requirements or processes haven't been met.\nCoordinating multiple activities and stakeholders to keep work moving and deliver outcomes.\nYou’ll Bring\nOur hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values.\nExperience working in compliance, governance, risk, audit, regulatory or a related environment.\nExcellent attention to detail and a disciplined approach to records, actions and follow-up.\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple activities and competing priorities.\nThe confidence to respectfully push back, challenge and hold stakeholders accountable when processes aren't being followed.\nStrong stakeholder management and communication skills.\nAn analytical mindset and an ability to identify gaps, risks and opportunities to simplify or improve processes.\nExperience in reporting, action tracking and applying governance or compliance frameworks.\nA collaborative, pragmatic approach and willingness to get involved.\nTertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering or a relevant discipline, will be advantageous and experience managing audit interactions and analysing risk, process improvement experience, and strong written and verbal communication skills.\nLife at Ausgrid\n At Ausgrid, we go beyond just a competitive salary to offer an exciting range of benefits.
