We’re committed to fostering a diverse, respectful, and inclusive workplace, and encourage applications from all backgrounds.\nSee yourself working here\nWe are seeking an Engineering Officer or Engineer to support the delivery of our planned maintenance program across primary and secondary systems within Ausgrid’s distribution and sub-transmission network.\nAs part of the Major Substations and Operational Engineering team supporting the Southern and Eastern Sydney areas, you will work closely with maintenance, capital and operational professionals to plan and coordinate maintenance activities. Your work will contribute directly to reducing network risk and maintaining the safety, reliability and performance of the network.\nThis role provides an opportunity to work across a diverse range of maintenance, defect and capital replacement activities while building strong relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nManaging assigned asset maintenance tasks. \nManaging assigned asset corrective and defect tasks and replacement projects.\nUndertaking desktop assessments, site visits, and consultation with a broad range of stakeholders including customers, operators, field supervisors, technicians, engineers, and schedulers to ensure safe, efficient planning and delivery. \nTechnical review of tasks to assign appropriate risk ratings, isolations and permits required for rectification.\nUtilising enterprise asset management systems including SAP to manage asset records and associated notifications and work orders.\nUtilising staff scheduling and job planning systems including Works Management System (WMS)\nProducing Network Access Requests (NARs), job packs, resource requests and NECF outage notifications using appropriate corporate systems.\nBuilding and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.\nSupporting the continued safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Ausgrid's distribution and sub-transmission network.\nWhat you bring to the role\nTo be successful in this role, you will be a proactive, organised and accountable engineering professional with the ability to manage competing priorities in a complex operational environment. You will bring strong technical knowledge, sound judgement, and a collaborative approach, enabling you to work effectively with a broad range of stakeholders while supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Ausgrid's distribution and sub-transmission network.\nTo be successful, you will also have:\nApplicants require an Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline or an Engineering Degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent) giving entitlement to full membership of Engineers Australia.\nDemonstrated experience in an engineering, technical, or asset management role within the electricity distribution industry or a related field. \nSound knowledge of relevant standards, procedures, regulations, rules and safe work practices. \nExperience preparing high-quality technical and project documentation. \nWell-developed problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, assess risks and implement practical solutions. \nStrong computer literacy and experience using systems and software to plan, coordinate and manage work activities. \nA current Class C Driver Licence.\nLife at Ausgrid\nAt Ausgrid, we go beyond just a competitive salary to offer an exciting range of benefits.
