In this role, you will be supporting financial activities associated with asset management, capital expenditure programs and project-related investment outcomes across the business.\nAs the Finance Coordinator, you'll play an important role in delivering accurate financial administration, reporting and analysis while maintaining strong financial controls and governance.\nYour key responsibilities will include:\nPreparing, reviewing and maintaining financial reports, reconciliations, schedules and supporting documentation. \nSupporting month-end and year-end activities, including preparation and processing of journals, accruals, prepayments, allocations and supporting documentation within agreed timetables \nSupporting capital expenditure reporting, project accounting and asset-related financial activities. \nProviding financial analysis and reporting to support asset management and investment decision-making. \nInvestigating financial data discrepancies, reconciliations and transaction anomalies, ensuring issues are appropriately resolved. \nMaintaining accurate financial records, workpapers and audit trails in line with accounting standards and internal controls. \nCollaborating with stakeholders across the business to coordinate reporting inputs, audit requests and financial deliverables. \nIdentifying opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, reporting and data quality.\nWhat you bring to the role\nYou are a detail-oriented finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, insightful and timely financial information. You're comfortable working independently, building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.\nTo be successful you will have:\nRelevant diploma, advanced certificate or equivalent qualification in accounting, finance, business or a related discipline. \nCA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion).\nDemonstrated experience in audit, risk, financial controls, assurance or governance-focused finance roles. \nExperience preparing reconciliations, journals, financial reports and supporting documentation within established governance frameworks. \nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances and interpret financial information. \nIntermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel capability and experience using enterprise financial systems. \nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. \nA continuous improvement mindset and commitment to maintaining high standards of financial control and accuracy.\nHighly regarded (but not essential):\nExperience gained within a Big Four accounting firm or a large professional services environment. \nExposure to utility, energy, infrastructure, construction or other asset-intensive industries.\nLife at Ausgrid\nAt Ausgrid, we go beyond just a competitive salary to offer an exciting range of benefits.
