Working to the highest standards of quality, cost and time, you take ownership for safety and preparation as you inspect, install and maintain network infrastructure and electrical equipment.\nFrom structures to cables, your expertise supports well-planned, safe and efficient work near live electrical apparatus. You’ll prepare work sites thoroughly, liaise with key internal and external stakeholders, resolve customer issues, interpret technical documentation and contribute to emergency restoration work, ensuring the job is planned well and done right the first time.\nWhat you bring to the role\nOur hiring decisions are not only based on your experience and skills, but your passion, attitude, and alignment to our core values.\nTo be successful, you will have the following skills & experience:\nQualified Electrician - Cert III in Electrotechnology (or equivalent).\nProven experience in an electrical trade role within the electricity distribution or relevant industry including experience in substation related activities.\nClass C drivers license.\nElectrical Safety Rules accreditation and other relevant statutory training.\nSound knowledge of relevant statutes, regulations and procedures such as safe working practices, network standards and codes of practice.\nWH&S WorkCover - General Induction.\nAsbestos awareness and experience working safely with asbestos materials related to working in substations or on the network.\nDemonstrated experience in the application of safe manual handling techniques.Basic skills in the use of computers and mobile devices.\n\nDemonstrated experience in effectively communicating with others.\nProven capability to work effectively within a team or work crew.\nLife at Ausgrid\nAt Ausgrid, we go beyond just a competitive salary to offer an exciting range of benefits.
