Let’s shape it together.\nAre you ready to make your impact?\n\nThis role will see you providing engineering and technical support in the delivery of transmission substations projects, with specialist knowledge on primary electrical engineering.\nWhat you’ll be doing in this role:\n\nApplying primary technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projects\nDeveloping scopes and specifications for design and construction as well as reviewing and assessing brownfield and greenfield electricity substation designs, providing technical input into staging, constructibility, operability, maintainability and safety in design\nProviding support to address Requests for Information as required during the project life cycle\nIdentifying opportunities to develop new or improved standards and to ensure the timely delivery of efficient solutions of complex technical engineering designs and standards, taking ownership of process improvement initiatives and development of new methods where necessary\nLeading, coaching and mentoring personnel within the team and share knowledge and experience\nYou don’t need to check every box, however we’re looking for a good combination of:\n\nDegree in Engineering or tertiary qualification with demonstrated experience in utilities with proficiency in design and Design management, including, however may not be limited to:\nTerminal Station & Substation primary layouts and diagrams\nConductor and equipment rating selection and/or sizing\nSystem studies pertaining to Terminal Station & Substation design\nExtensive knowledge of Primary electrical equipment in respect to design, performance, functionality, operation, and maintenance as used in Terminal Stations and Substations rated at up to 500kV in accordance with relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS2067)\nDetailed understanding of project lifecycles and application of engineering principals with extensive design and construction knowledge covering performance, functionality, operation, maintenance and risks\nExtensive experience working in electricity substations engineering, project delivery and/or design role\nThe AusNet experience is all about…\n\nGrowing your impact: We’ll support you to build your career through real opportunities, meaningful work and strong connections.\nSolving some of the most complex energy challenges of our time: We love unpacking complex challenges in clever ways and looking at things differently.\nBuilding an energy future to be proud of: We’re a trusted leader, with deep expertise, driven to do what’s right for our communities and customers.\nWe’re committed to building an inclusive culture and a diverse workforce.
