You'll provide technical guidance across major substation projects, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that support the safe, reliable, and efficient growth of the network.\nThis role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:\n\nProvide technical support into Customer and Company initiated projects across AusNet’s Transmission network\nApply primary technical engineering knowledge to ensure efficient solutions can be reached on complex design projects\nDevelop concept scopes and specifications for design and construction. Review and assess brownfield electricity substation designs, providing technical input into staging, constructability, operability, maintainability and safety in design\nProvide support to the estimation and schedule development activities.\nContribute to the development of cost effective and constructible business cases, including:Supporting the development of project schedules and risk registers\nProviding engineering input into commercial offers on customer offers\n\nIdentify opportunities to develop new or improved standards and to ensure the timely delivery of efficient solutions of complex technical engineering designs and standards.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. \nLead, coach and mentor personnel within the team and share knowledge and experience\n\nYou don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:\n\nDetailed technical knowledge and extensive experience in electricity networks engineering\nSimplify complex engineering analysis for non-engineers (summarising key decision-making during delivery of detailed design)\nDetailed understanding of project lifecycles and application of engineering principals with extensive design and construction knowledge covering, performance, functionality, operation, maintenance and risks\nExtensive experience working in electricity substations engineering, project delivery and/or design role\nStrong understanding of regulatory environment that AusNet operates within\nDemonstrated ability to develop, coach, mentor, empower and support colleagues and team members to achieve common goals\nProven project team leadership skills\nProven capability in development of concepts and/or delivery of designs\nProven ability to build and grow relationships and partnerships across divisions within Ausnet as well as with external suppliers, customers and regulatory bodies\n\nThe AusNet experience is all about…\n\nSolving some of the most complex energy challenges of our time: We love unpacking complex challenges in clever ways and looking at things differently.\nWhen life happens, knowing we've got your back: Whether it's life's big moments or the unexpected little ones, we get it - sometimes you just need to be there.\nBeing part of a team that cares deeply about each other: We share in the good times.
