inspect manufactured products for accuracy; recognize hazards within the production area; operate equipment and ensure equipment is running properly; troubleshoot and problem solve with Supervisor/Area Lead on any technical issues as needed; operate and maintain manufacturing vehicles when needed; and any other duties as assigned by Area Lead, Supervisor and/or Department Manager.\nKey Responsibilities and Duties \nConduct inspections and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems.\n\nPerform DOT and pre-trip inspections in accordance with FMSCR 392, 393, and 396.\n\nCarry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) services-daily, weekly, monthly, and annually.\n\nDiagnose drivability issues using computerized diagnostic tools.\n\nComplete work orders, log labor hours, and track parts usage in SQ7 vehicle maintenance software.\n\nCommunicate inventory needs leads and supervisors.\n\nExecute welding and fabrication tasks as needed.\n\nMaintain and repair pumps and auxiliary systems.\n\nUnderstand and troubleshoot electrical and lighting systems.\n\nFill out required documentation and follow Standard Operating Procedures.\n\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.\n\nCollaborate effectively with team members and maintain a positive attitude.\n\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n\nValid driver’s license\n\nMinimum age of 18\n\nMust meet all state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an atf explosive processor\n\n1+ years of manufacturing experience or\n\n1+ years explosive or chemical manufacturing\n\nMechanically inclined\n\nAvailability to work various shifts and overtime on short notice\n\nSkills, Knowledge, and Requirements\nBasic Math skills (basic counting skills required)\n\nAbility to read and maintain proper documentation as required.\n\nMeet requirements of all state and federal explosive laws and qualify as an ATF explosive processor.\n\nMust be able to work in various conditions (hot/cold and wet floors)\n\nMust be able to work with minimal supervision.\n\nAvailability to work various shifts as required by business demands.\n\nMust be able to work in loud work environment; hearing protection required in some areas (range of 50 - 90 decibels)\n\nMust be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs. on a regular basis.\n\nMust be able to stand/walk up to 10 hours per day.\n\nHave high manual dexterity.\n\nAbility to work overtime when applicable.\n\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\n\nAbility to wear work uniforms and required PPE.\n\nAbility to get fitted and wear formal respirator, half face style, as needed.\n\nAbility to work on a ladder (i.e., heightened work surface)\n\nMust be forklift certified.\n\nMay have to be certified to drive box truck and semi-tractor.\n\nMust be able to operate various types of machinery and set up of machines\n\nMust understand the need to be cross trained and willing to do different tasks daily.\n\nWork Environment\nAustin Powder is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
