This role focuses on maximizing facility up-time, improving product quality, and driving cost efficiency. The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer reports directly to the Engineering Manager.\nKey Responsibilities and Duties\nWork with the Maintenance, Technical and Operations to establish, track, and achieve equipment reliability goals and objectives for the facility.\n\nParticipate in safety and environmental initiatives to ensure overall employee safety and regulatory compliance.\n\nDevelop and monitor predictive and preventative maintenance activities - oil analysis, vibration analysis, and infrared thermography.\n\nProvide daily technical support to craftsmen, supervisors and other engineers to resolve equipment design, maintenance and operating issues for immediate and long-term solutions.\n\nAssist in planning and execution of turnaround activities.\n\nProvide technical input to determine priority and scope of equipment repairs.\n\nLead root cause failure investigations for mechanical related incidents.\n\nReview engineering projects to ensure compliance with plant and corporate standards, and other applicable industry standards.\n\nAssist in developing and maintaining plant mechanical engineering & safety standards.\n\nComplete engineering design and documentation for small plant improvement and modification projects.\n\nDevelop and manage reliability projects for plant mechanical systems.\n\nReview supplier data and witness shop tests.\n\nAssume site On Call Manager responsibilities occasionally.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nEducation and Experience \nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other related field.\n\n5+ years of engineering experience in a chemical manufacturing environment preferred.\n\nProject & budget management experience preferred.\n\nThis is a safety sensitive position which requires employees to disclose the use of any prescription medication that may affect his or her ability to safely perform the essential functions of this position.\n\nSkills and Knowledge\nUnderstanding of compressor control systems.\n\nMechanics of turbines, axial compressors, reciprocating compressors, screw compressors, centrifugal pumps, positive displacement pumps and diaphragm pumps.\n\nWorking knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and a good understanding of general process control.\n\nPossesses strong organizational and communication skills.\n\nPossesses complex problem solving, critical thinking, strong mathematics skills, systems evaluation, and operation analysis.\n\nExperienced in RCFA, RCM, or equivalent methodology.\n\nCompetent computer knowledge - CMMS, Excel, Word, analysis software, etc.\n\nWork Environment \nUS Nitrogen, LLC operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
