You’ll design processing methods, evaluate them against recorded measurements, and implement them for real-time operation on our hardware.\nYou’ll work closely with RF, acoustic, FPGA, embedded systems, and software engineers to improve detection, estimation, and classification performance. We’re looking for someone who understands the mathematics, can write efficient code, and can use real data to identify why an algorithm succeeds or fails.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDevelop algorithms for filtering, spectral analysis, detection, parameter estimation, and signal classification.\n\nDesign processing pipelines for radar, acoustic, and RF data, accounting for sensor characteristics and operating conditions.\n\nBuild simulations and analysis tools to evaluate algorithms under noise, interference, and other sources of distortion.\n\nAnalyze recorded sensor data to identify performance limitations and guide improvements.\n\nImplement and optimize algorithms for real-time operation within compute, memory, power, and latency constraints.\n\nWork with FPGA and embedded systems engineers to move algorithms onto production hardware.\n\nEvaluate sampling rates, numerical precision, fixed-point representations, and their effects on performance.\n\nDevelop calibration and compensation methods for hardware variations and measurement errors.\n\nDefine measurable performance criteria and build repeatable tests to compare algorithm revisions.\n\nWork with field test engineers to plan data collection and validate performance outside the lab.\n\nDocument algorithm assumptions, implementation details, and results so the team can maintain and extend your work.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n7+ years of experience developing and implementing digital signal processing algorithms.\n\nStrong understanding of sampling theory, digital filtering, Fourier analysis, probability, and statistical estimation.\n\nProficiency in Python or MATLAB for simulation and data analysis.\n\nExperience implementing performance-sensitive signal processing code in C or C++.\n\nExperience evaluating algorithms against measured data and diagnosing differences between simulation and real-world performance.\n\nAn understanding of numerical precision, quantization, and fixed-point versus floating-point implementation.\n\nThe ability to balance algorithm performance with hardware and real-time processing constraints.\n\nClear technical communication and experience working across hardware and software teams.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with radar, acoustic arrays, RF receivers, or wireless communications.\n\nFamiliarity with beamforming, array processing, adaptive filtering, or time-frequency analysis.\n\nExperience with detection theory, signal classification, or source localization.\n\nExperience implementing DSP algorithms on embedded processors, GPUs, or FPGAs.\n\nFamiliarity with SIMD optimization and profiling tools.\n\nExperience with synchronized sensors and multi-channel data processing.\n\nA degree in electrical engineering,
