We design and manufacture our hardware in Austin, Texas, with a focus on making high-performance sensing reliable, affordable, and widely available.\nAbout the Role\nWe’re hiring an Electronics Hardware Design Engineer to design the circuit boards behind our sensing systems. You’ll own designs from requirements and component selection through schematic capture, PCB layout, board bring-up, validation, and production.\nYou’ll work closely with RF, FPGA, embedded systems, and mechanical engineers to build boards that perform reliably and can be manufactured consistently. We’re looking for someone who can make sound design decisions, debug their own hardware, and carry a board through multiple revisions into a finished product.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign digital, analog, and mixed-signal circuits for sensor interfaces, processing, communications, and power distribution.\n\nOwn component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, and manufacturing documentation.\n\nDefine board stackups, placement, routing constraints, grounding, and power distribution with attention to signal integrity and noise.\n\nIntegrate microcontrollers, processors, FPGAs, memory, data converters, and communications interfaces.\n\nWork with RF engineers on interfaces between RF circuitry and supporting electronics.\n\nBring up new boards and verify power rails, clocks, interfaces, and functionality.\n\nDiagnose failures using measurements, schematics, and controlled tests. Identify root causes and implement fixes.\n\nEvaluate power consumption, thermal behavior, and electrical margins across operating conditions.\n\nDesign for manufacturability and testability, including programming access, test points, and production test requirements.\n\nWork with manufacturing and suppliers to resolve assembly issues, qualify component alternatives, and improve board yield.\n\nMaintain design files, bills of materials, revision history, and validation results.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\nExperience designing PCBs from initial requirements through bring-up and production.\n\nProficiency in Altium Designer or a comparable PCB design tool.\n\nStrong understanding of analog and digital electronics, power supplies, grounding, and circuit protection.\n\nExperience designing multilayer boards and applying signal integrity and power integrity principles.\n\nFamiliarity with embedded processors, FPGAs, memory, and peripheral interfaces.\n\nHands-on debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and electronic loads.\n\nExperience preparing board fabrication and assembly files and reviewing designs with manufacturers.\n\nThe ability to explain design tradeoffs and work through issues with firmware, RF, and mechanical engineers.\n\nCareful documentation and a willingness to take responsibility for a design through production.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with radar, RF, acoustic, or other sensing hardware.\n\nExperience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR, Ethernet, USB, PCIe, or JESD204.\n\nExperience with low-noise analog circuits, ADCs, DACs, and sensor signal conditioning.\n\nFamiliarity with EMI/EMC testing and improving designs based on test results.\n\nExperience designing for outdoor environments, temperature extremes, and electrical transients.\n\nExperience supporting production testing and troubleshooting field failures.\n\nA degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related field.\n\nBenefits\n401(k)\n\nInsurance benefits\n\nLunch and dinner served daily","description_format":"text","description_chars":3615,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Artificial
