This team is responsible for production support + build and run functions across the digital portfolio. The role involves solution development, engineering processes and tooling. Specifically you will:\nPerform design and development of software solutions within the digital engineering team\n\nDevelop operational and system support tools including documentation to enable effective maintenance and support of applications\n\nContribute to the health of the code base by conducting effective code and process reviews\n\nApply agile frameworks, techniques and processes to deliver incremental value\n\nProvide estimates and contribute to sizing of continuous improvement backlog\n\nSolution Design\nContribute to the design of digital solutions across the portfolio\n\nWork with architecture and solution engineering to define technical options and agree solutions, in line with the digital roadmap and architectural guidelines\n\nShare design skills across the organisation\n\nQuality & Best Practice\nPerform the design and development of software solutions according to the Engineering Processes and Standards, with the goal of providing reliable, stable and operationally sound applications that meet business requirements\n\nConsistently apply tools, standards, methods and processes in developing and supporting solutions to ensure that quality applications are developed with consistent maintainable code which supports risk and compliance management\n\nReview code to deliver quality driven, robust and production ready code that is compliant and secure\n\nApply a continuous improvement mindset to standards, methods and processes\n\nWhat You'll Need:\nProven experience in microservice and API development using event driven architecture covering aspects such as service segregation, API modelling and versioning.\n\nMinimum 3-5 years as a Java engineer, preferably within a digital team, with experience across tools and frameworks such as JAVA, Springboot, JPA, Messaging, GraphQL, React\n\nA good understanding of CI/CD tooling and DevOps processes, Google Cloud / AWS Build would be great.\n\nA good understanding of security principles with exposure to Identity and Access Management (IAM)\n\nSound knowledge of system analysis methodologies and tools\n\nExperienced in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies and ways of working\n\nFamiliaritywithapplicationsupportprocedures\n\nStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, resilient, great attention to detail\n\nPassion for excellence and a continuous improvement mindset\n\nBe a change agent who embraces and champions new ideas\n\nAnd if you have some of this even better!\nExperience in / with these tools / technologies / methodologies would be anadvantage:\n\nKubernetes, GKE and other cloud technologies (AWS/GCP)\n\nExperience with monitoring and alerting tools i.e. ELK\n\nIntegration technologies and toolsets such as Apache Kafka, Tibco ESB or similar\n\nExperience or exposure to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Salesforce/CRM, ForgeRock Identity and Access Management (IAM) or Marketing technologies and platforms.\n\nExperience with various front-end technology - React / View\n\nWe make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
