As an AWEI Bronze employer and member of the Champions of Change Coalition for gender equality, we’re committed to a fair and inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive.\nKey purpose of the role\nAs the Principal Cloud Engineer Risk Platform you will provide direction and guidance and also take responsibility for technical solutions and engineering practices for the clearing risk platform.\nAs part of your role, you will help Mentor and drive the team in the use of engineering best practices to improve the efficiency, stability, availability, and monitoring of the system while ensuring quality of deliverables, in alignment with technical standards.\nYour Team\nThe Clearing Risk Platform team combines technical expertise, innovative problem-solving to design, deploy and implement effective solutions to support the Clearing Risk businesses within the ASX.\nYour responsibilities\nDesign and implementation of a cloud solution within Markets technology\nWork closely with Architecture to ensure Cloud strategy and vision are realised.\nEnsure design and engineering processes are adhering to existing engineering standards, and deliver a reporting model on compliance.\nAs part of the Solution Engineering Guild - lead delivery of technical documentation, such as best practices, standards and processes. \nProvide expert services on contemporary engineering practices (micro services, continuous delivery, multi-cloud, data engineering, DevSecOps).\nBe part of a cross-functional team planning, designing, creating, enhancing, and documenting new and existing system features in order to deliver agreed value to stakeholders.\nCollaborate in reviews of work with others as appropriate such that features meet specified functional and non-functional requirements.\nCollaborate with non-technical stakeholders to understand whether solutions meet their needs. \nYour experience and qualifications\nMust have\nExperience in delivering programs of work in a complex, agile environment\nHave lead end to end cloud implementation on a complex environment\nDemonstrated experience working in a Senior Cloud Engineering role in public, private and hybrid cloud environments.\nA strong understanding of cloud engineering principles underpinned by design and development experience with one or more cloud environments such GCP, AWS and VMware\nExperience with running multi cloud environments and a strong understanding of multitenancy and security implications\nKnowledge and experience with cloud concepts such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) , Software as a Service (SaaS)\nUnderstand enterprise networking and cloud native solutions\nExperience of cloud infrastructure automation\nExperience in Terraform\nExperienced in working with cloud deployment and orchestration technologies at scale with strong knowledge of the fundamentals to include service discovery, deployments, monitoring, scheduling, and load balancing. Knowledge of Containerisation\nExperienced with complex data structures and semi structured data (JSON, XML)\nExperienced with Design Governance, and can take responsibility for the end to end software design process across a large program of work, collaborating with Architecture, Engineering and Suppliers.\nScripting Skills (Shell, Perl, Python)\nNice to have\nCloud Engineering, DevOps, or Architecture certifications on AWS or GCP\nExperience with CI/CD tools such as GoCD, GitLab, Cloud Build, or Code Build.\nExperience building scalable systems and workloads on the cloud.\nExperience migrating workloads to the cloud.\nProficient in Linux, Shell scripting, Gradle, Java 8+, and Spring Boot 2.7+\nExperience in building and working with Docker container-based services or other CRE.\nUnderstand challenges and trade-offs building, deploying, and running solutions in different environments.\nAWS Well Architected Framework\nWe make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
