These are hands-on, pro-code engineering roles where you'll design, build, integrate and productionise enterprise-grade AI and agentic solutions using technologies including Python, .NET/C#, Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI services.\nThis isn't about configuring proof of concepts in Copilot. You'll apply strong software engineering disciplines to build secure, reliable and maintainable AI solutions that operate within real business processes, working across areas such as AI agents, orchestration, automation of complex workflows, RAG, APIs and enterprise integrations.If you don’t already have this experience, this isn’t for you.\nAt the Senior level, you'll bring greater ownership of engineering builds and technical decisions, while providing coaching and mentoring to help strengthen engineering capability across the team.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, test and productionise enterprise-grade AI and agentic solutions using Python, .NET/C# and Azure.\nDevelop AI agents, RAG capabilities, orchestration workflows, APIs and integrations with enterprise systems.\nEngineer solutions for production, including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security, resilience and ongoing support.\nPartner across product, architecture, cyber security, data, platforms and business teams to turn complex problems into scalable solutions.\nApply responsible AI, privacy, security and governance principles throughout the engineering lifecycle.\nFor Senior opportunities, own significant technical outcomes and provide engineering guidance, coaching and mentoring.\nWhat You'll Need\nStrong commercial software engineering experience, with hands-on experience building and deploying production applications in complex enterprise environments.\nStrong pro-code development capability in Python and/or .NET/C#, within an Azure AI Platform environment, alongside solid software engineering fundamentals.\nPractical experience engineering AI-enabled or agentic applications, ideally within enterprise environments.\nDemonstrated knowledge of Generative AI patterns including LLMs, RAG, embeddings/vector search, tool or function calling and orchestration.\nStrong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\nFor the Senior AI Software Engineer opportunity, deeper production AI engineering experience alongside the ability to own engineering solution design, builds, influence technical decisions and coach others.\nHighly regarded:\nHands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI.\nExperience with cloud-native engineering, containers and infrastructure as code.\nAzure DevOps or GitHub-based delivery experience.\nExperience engineering AI solutions within regulated or security-conscious environments.\nKnowledge of Responsible AI, privacy, cyber security and AI governance.\nLife at AustralianSuper\nAustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
