We are dedicated to building a high-performance environment underpinned by a strong risk culture, ensuring we deliver the best outcomes for our members.\nYour New Role\nThe Risk Manager supports the Senior Risk Manager to manage Member Operations business risks, controls, incidents and obligations under the Fund's Risk Management Framework. The role partners with the business (Member Administration) to deliver practical risk solutions, first-line risk activities, the Line 1 Risk & Controls program, and project and BAU risk assessments, with outcomes reported to senior stakeholders.\nThis is an 18-month contract role ideally based in Melbourne.\nKey duties include but not limited to:\nPartnering with business teams to identify, assess, monitor and manage risks, controls, incidents and obligations in line with the Risk Management Framework;\nExecuting risk and controls activities including control testing, risk assessments, and control self-assessment validations;\nProviding risk advice, guidance and GRC system support, acting as the primary risk contact for assigned business areas;\nAnalysing risk, control and incident data to identify trends, provide insights and support risk uplift initiatives;\nLeading and coordinating incident management activities, including triage, escalation, root cause analysis, remediation and reporting;\nPreparing and presenting risk reporting, insights and recommendations to business leaders, risk forums and management committees;\nManaging findings, action plans and assurance activities to strengthen the control environment and support compliance outcomes;\nBuilding strong stakeholder relationships and contributing risk and control expertise to projects including delivering risk assessments, change initiatives and CPS230 activities.\nWhat You’ll Need\nSignificant operational risk management experience, ideally in financial services, superannuation or insurance;\nStrong knowledge of operational risk, compliance frameworks and incident management;\nAbility to analyse trends, diagnose issues and recommend actions addressing root causes;\nExcellent written, verbal, data presentation and stakeholder relationship skills;\nCritical thinker and self-starter who works autonomously, manages competing priorities and adapts to change;\nTertiary qualification in a relevant discipline preferred;\nHold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA) or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper;\nDemonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes.\nLife at AustralianSuper\nAustralianSuper is committed to colleague development, and we support our people with ongoing learning, coaching and training, as well as career opportunities across our expanding global organisation.
