You'll set strategy and you'll also write the launch email yourself when that's the fastest path.\nYou'll report directly to the founder and, as the team grows, manage our content and growth marketing hires.\nWhat you'll do\nOwn marketing strategy and the full funnel, from first impression through free trial to paid subscription\n\nSharpen positioning and messaging for a skeptical, ambitious audience of self-published authors\n\nSet the channel mix across paid social, search, SEO content, email, and partnerships, and decide where the next dollar goes\n\nDefine the metrics that matter, build honest measurement around them, and report on what's working without spin\n\nRun launches end to end: new tools, pricing changes, research reports, and brand moments\n\nHire, manage, and develop the marketing team, starting with content and growth roles\n\nWrite. Landing pages, emails, positioning docs. The bar for prose here is high\n\nWhat we're looking for\n6+ years in marketing with at least 2 years leading a function or team\n\nExperience growing a subscription software product, ideally one sold to prosumers or small businesses rather than enterprises\n\nA genuinely strong writer.
