We're looking for a Supplier Quality Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring supplier quality performance, supporting engineering change activities, and driving continuous improvement across our supply chain.\nIn this role, you'll partner closely with Supplier Development Managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to coordinate PPAP approvals, manage supplier corrective actions, track engineering changes, and maintain key quality metrics. If you enjoy working cross-functionally, analyzing data, and helping suppliers achieve world-class quality standards, we'd love to hear from you.\nWhat You'll Do\nCoordinate PPAP Activities\nOrganize and log incoming PPAP parts into quality tracking systems.\nReview PPAP parts and documentation for completeness and readiness before production release.\nMaintain PPAP parts logs and track approval status through completion.\nCreate and distribute weekly reports on PPAP submissions, status, and processing performance.\nEstablish and maintain electronic filing systems for supplier submission documentation. \nManage Supplier Quality Documentation\nReview incoming PPAP documentation packets and ensure all required elements are received.\nCoordinate documentation reviews with Supplier Development Managers (SDMs).\nMaintain quality records and catalogs for supplier submissions.\nSupport supplier onboarding and quality approval activities through effective documentation management. \nDrive Supplier Corrective Action Resolution\nMonitor open Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) and ensure suppliers receive accurate and complete information.\nTrack progress toward timely SCAR closure and escalate risks as needed.\nSupport containment actions and incoming inspection activities associated with supplier quality issues.\nDevelop reports highlighting SCAR status, ownership, completion timelines, and next steps. \nSupport Engineering Change Management\nParticipate in Engineering Change Order (ECO) review meetings and status discussions.\nTrack ECO progress and support on-time implementation activities.\nCoordinate engineering change activities with Supplier Development Managers and cross-functional teams.\nHelp ensure supplier-related engineering changes are executed efficiently and effectively. \nDeliver Reporting & Operational Support\nCompile supplier quality data and create actionable reports for stakeholders.\nAnalyze PPAP and supplier quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.\nPresent findings and recommendations to internal teams.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts by maintaining accurate performance metrics and reporting tools. \nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Quality Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant technical experience.\nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.\nExperience analyzing data and developing reports that support operational decision-making.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nKnowledge of quality management processes and supplier quality systems. \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in automotive, commercial vehicle, or manufacturing environments.\nUnderstanding of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements and methodologies.\nExperience with supplier corrective action processes and quality improvement initiatives.\nWorking knowledge of Engineering, Procurement, and Quality business processes.\nExperience using structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, QRQC, or similar frameworks.\nExperience leading or coordinating cross-functional teams. \nKey Skills & Competencies\nSupplier Quality Management\nProduction Part Approval Process (PPAP)\nSupplier Corrective Action Reports (SCAR)\nEngineering Change Orders (ECO)\nQuality Documentation & Compliance\nData Analysis & Reporting\nContinuous Improvement\nRoot Cause Analysis\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nSupplier Development Support\nProcess Coordination\nStakeholder Communication\nProject Tracking & Execution\nManufacturing Quality Systems\nProblem Solving & Decision Making \nLocation: Birmingham, Alabama or Hagerstown, Indiana. \nWhat You'll Get\nWe offer an attractive compensation and benefits package, to include base salary, incentive bonus opportunities, and benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life and AD&D insurance, and short-term and long-term disability.\n401(k) with a company match to help you invest in your future.\nPaid time off (PTO) and company holidays to rest, recharge, and maintain work-life balance.\nA high-impact role with real ownership.\nAbout Autocar\nAutocar, LLC headquartered in Birmingham, AL, is not just another severe-duty vocational truck manufacturer - we built America’s first motor truck.
