Autodesk is an American software company founded in 1982 that makes the design and engineering tools used to create buildings, infrastructure, products, factories and visual effects. AutoCAD established it as the standard for computer-aided drafting, and the portfolio now spans Revit for building information modelling, Fusion for product design and manufacturing, Civil 3D for infrastructure, and Maya and 3ds Max for film, television and games. Headquartered in San Francisco, the company moved fully to subscription licensing in the last decade and is pushing customers toward cloud platforms that connect design, construction and production data across a project's lifecycle.

Account Based Marketing Manager - Nordics

We are looking for an experienced Account Based Marketing Manager - Nordics to help deepen Autodesk’s relationships with strategic customers and accelerate growth across the region, with particular focus on Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.

The Opportunity:

As the Account Based Marketing Manager for the Nordics, you will develop and lead targeted marketing strategies for a defined portfolio of high-value accounts and account groups. Working closely with Sales and teams across Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, and the partner ecosystem, you will identify where account-based marketing can make the greatest commercial impact and translate customer intelligence into coordinated, relevant engagement.

This role goes beyond executing campaigns. You will connect account strategy, buying-group insight, customer needs, sales action, and marketing activation to create measurable pipeline and revenue outcomes. You will design personalised 1:1 and 1:Few ABM programmes, activate decision-makers and influencers across the customer journey, and use data and intent signals to determine the next best action.

The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with practical execution. You will be comfortable moving between account planning, stakeholder collaboration, campaign development, performance analysis, and continuous optimisation in a fast-changing global organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Nordic Sales leadership and account teams to identify and prioritise strategic accounts based on revenue potential, business priorities, customer fit, intent signals, and opportunity data.
  • Co-create integrated account and account-group plans, including objectives, buying-group strategies, engagement journeys, messaging, campaign calendars, ownership, and next-best actions.
  • Research priority accounts to understand their business drivers, transformation priorities, competitive environments, decision processes, and stakeholder relationships.
  • Map buying groups, including decision-makers, influencers, practitioners, and executive stakeholders, and develop strategies to improve engagement and relationship coverage.
  • Design and deliver personalised 1:1 and 1:few account-based marketing programmes across digital, content, events, executive engagement, sales outreach, SDR, customer, and partner channels.
  • Adapt global go-to-market priorities, industry narratives, customer stories, and value propositions for Nordic audiences, account segments, personas, and opportunity stages.
  • Use intent, engagement, product, opportunity, install-base, and relationship signals to trigger relevant plays and guide marketing and sales activity.
  • Equip Sales teams with account intelligence, tailored messaging, campaign assets, conversation starters, and practical recommendations for account progression.
  • Coordinate with Field Marketing to integrate regional events, executive programmes, and customer engagement moments into strategic account plans.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations and Analytics on account segmentation, scoring, routing, dashboards, attribution, and performance reporting.
  • Work with channel and alliance partners on co-marketing, co-sell engagement, ecosystem influence, and account penetration.
  • Manage programmes and priorities independently while maintaining strong alignment across Nordic, EMEA, and global stakeholders.
  • Measure and communicate performance against shared objectives, including account engagement, buying-group coverage, pipeline creation and influence, opportunity acceleration, conversion, expansion, and account-level revenue contribution.
  • Run regular performance reviews with Sales and Marketing stakeholders, identify obstacles, capture insights, and continuously optimise account strategies and programmes.

Key Competencies

  • Account-Based Marketing Expertise: Strong understanding of account selection, tiering, buying-group engagement, account planning, and 1:1 and 1 marketing motions.
  • Commercial and Customer Focus: Ability to connect customer needs, marketing activity, sales priorities, pipeline progression, and revenue outcomes.
  • Account Intelligence and Data Fluency: Skilled at turning account research, intent, engagement, product, opportunity, and relationship signals into actionable strategies.
  • Sales Partnership and Influence: Ability to build trusted relationships with Sales and other stakeholders, align around shared goals, and influence effectively without direct authority.
  • Integrated Campaign Orchestration: Experience coordinating personalised journeys across digital, content, events, executive engagement, SDR, customer, and partner channels.
  • Measurement and Optimisation: Strong analytical approach to evaluating account engagement, buying-group coverage, pipeline impact, conversion, and revenue contribution.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work across Sales, Field Marketing, Customer Success, Marketing Operations, Content, Product Marketing, and partner teams.
  • Communication, Agility, and Ownership: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt quickly in a matrixed environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA, B.Comm, or equivalent degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Eight or more years of experience in B2B marketing, key-account marketing, account-based marketing, demand generation, or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing marketing programmes for strategic or enterprise accounts.
  • Understanding of regional go-to-market dynamics across the Nordics, particularly Sweden, Norway, and Denmark.
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders in a fast-changing, matrixed environment.
  • A self-starting approach, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, manage multiple priorities, and move projects forward proactively.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and experience working closely with Sales or account-management teams.
  • Experience developing campaign materials, including creative and content briefs, messaging, presentations, sales-enablement materials, and customer-facing assets.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and report on marketing and sales performance.
  • Experience using marketing and account-intelligence platforms such as 6sense, Allocadia, and Marketo.
  • Practical experience using large language model tools such as ChatGPT or Claude to support research, planning, content development, or marketing productivity.
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics, reporting, attribution, or business-intelligence tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience marketing to architecture, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or adjacent technology audiences.
  • Experience marketing to public-sector organisations is advantageous but not required.
  • Experience working in a global organisation with regional and centralised teams.
  • Confidence operating in a matrixed environment where influence, judgement, and effective prioritisation are essential.
  • Experience working with complex buying groups, long sales cycles, and enterprise-level customer relationships.
  • Familiarity with customer expansion, retention, adoption, or lifecycle marketing strategies.
  • Experience coordinating programmes with partners, alliances, or channel organisations.
  • A practical and commercially minded approach, balanced with creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to test new ideas.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role will be demonstrated through stronger engagement and preference within priority Nordic accounts, broader coverage of relevant buying groups, close alignment between Sales and Marketing, and measurable contribution to pipeline creation, opportunity acceleration, customer expansion, and account-level revenue.

You will help Autodesk focus its go-to-market resources on the accounts that matter most, create customer engagement that is genuinely relevant, and establish account-based marketing as a coordinated revenue motion rather than a collection of disconnected campaigns.
