The successful candidate will build reusable tools and accelerators that streamline customer data flows, especially around Autodesk Datum, ACC, Forma, APS APIs, model-derived data, ETL processing, and modern cloud technologies.\nThe role requires someone who can move from ambiguous customer requirements to practical working prototypes, feasibility demos, technical documentation, and reusable implementation patterns. The Data Engineer will collaborate with Technical Advisory consultants, product teams, data engineers, solution architects, project managers, and customer stakeholders to validate feasibility, reduce delivery effort, and create repeatable service offerings.\nWhat this role actually does\nThis is not a pure internal analytics-platform role. It is a consulting-oriented technical engineering role focused on customer data workflows, Autodesk platform integrations, and reusable service accelerators.\nThe role will also contribute to emerging AI-enabled Technical Advisory workflows, including MCP, LLM-powered data access, prompt engineering, and agentic automation. The Data Engineer will prototype secure integrations between AI agents and Autodesk/customer systems, design reusable prompts and pre-context for reliable outcomes, evaluate model behavior across technical workflows, and help turn successful AI experiments into repeatable consulting accelerators.\nMain Responsibilities\nDesign, build, and support reusable ETL tools, prototypes, and accelerators for Technical Advisory and customer-facing engagements\n\nDevelop data-ingestion workflows, and data integrations for Autodesk Platforms and other modern engineering data sources\n\nCreate and maintain reusable code, ETL processing tools, and configuration patterns for model-data extraction, and data-standardization workflows\n\nSupport feasibility studies, demos, pilots, and proof-of-concept work for customer engagements, especially where requirements are unclear or the technical path needs validation\n\nBuild proof-of-concept MCP servers, API wrappers, and integration layers that allow AI agents to query, validate, transform, or reason over customer data\n\nDesign and prototype AI-enabled workflows that connect LLMs and agents with Autodesk platform data, customer data, and Technical Advisory delivery workflows\n\nBuild proof-of-concept MCP servers, API wrappers, and integration layers that allow AI agents to query, validate, transform, or reason over customer data\n\nCollaborate with product, platform, security, and consulting teams to align AI/MCP deliveries with Autodesk strategy, policy, and customer-delivery standards\n\nTranslate customer and stakeholder needs into technical options, risks, assumptions, implementation plans, and demo-ready solutions\n\nPerform system-readiness and integration validation, including checks around connectivity, authorization, operating-system compatibility, sandbox readiness, and platform configuration\n\nPrepare technical documentation, configuration guidance, readiness summaries, data-source assessments, and reusable implementation notes for internal teams and customers\n\nIdentify technical risks early, communicate blockers clearly, document findings, and recommend practical next steps\n\nMinimum qualifications\nStrong command of Polish, both written and spoken is a must\n\n5+ years of data engineerin g, software engineering, or technical implementation experience involving data processing in cloud-based infrastructure, ETL, APIs, or cloud/platform integrations\n\nHands-on Python development experience\n\nStrong SQL and data-modeling skills, and analytical data warehouses such as Snowflake\n\nUnderstanding of data-engineering best practices for medium-to-large-scale production workloads\n\nExperience designing and implementing ETL or ELT workflows, including data extraction, transformation, validation, mapping, and loading\n\nExperience working with APIs, authentication flows, and system integrations\n\nAbility to analyze ambiguous requirements, identify technical risks, and turn early-stage customer needs into working prototypes or feasibility demos\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to other stakeholders\n\nService-oriented mindset and comfort working in consulting-style environments where timelines, scope, and technical clarity may change\n\nAbility to document technical solutions, assumptions, constraints, and configuration steps clearly enough for reuse by other teams\n\nPreferred qualifications\nExperience building reusable tools or accelerators for consulting delivery\n\nExperience with desktop or lightweight web applications, including UI, authentication, and file-processing workflows\n\nExperience with orchestration, automation, or CI/CD tooling such as Git, Jenkins, Terraform, or similar\n\nREST API design and implementation experience\n\nExperience with cloud services and serverless technologies\n\nExperience with DBT, shell scripting, or similar tooling\n\nExperience with AI/MCP concepts, especially where agents or conversational interfaces interact with engineering data or Autodesk APIs\n\nSuccess profile\nA strong person in this role is someone who can:\nTake unclear customer or internal requests and quickly define a feasible technical path\n\nBuild working prototypes that demonstrate value, not just theoretical designs\n\nCreate reusable tools and patterns rather than one-off scripts\n\nBalance engineering quality with consulting pragmatism\n\nCommunicate risks early and clearly\n\nCollaborate across product, consulting, architecture, and delivery teams\n\nDocument enough for the work to become reusable by others\n\nThink beyond one customer project and help turn successful prototypes into repeatable Technical Advisory services\n\nLearn More\nAbout Autodesk\nWelcome to Autodesk!
