The Finance Manager will elevate how forecasting, reporting, headcount management, and close activities are executed, ensuring that best practices are standardized while maintaining flexibility to meet business needs.\nThis role requires strong financial acumen, operational rigor, stakeholder leadership, and the ability to influence across multiple divisions in a large, publicly traded software company such as Autodesk.\nKey Responsibilities\nStrategic Process Leadership & Standardization\nDesign and implement standardized forecasting, reporting, and spend management frameworks across multiple divisions.\nCentralize key FP&A processes to drive efficiency, consistency, and scalability while maintaining alignment with divisional business needs.\nPartner closely with the Finance Director and FBPs to define best practices and operating cadences.\nDevelop governance structures, documentation, and process controls to ensure clarity and repeatability.\nLead continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and enhance data reliability.\nSystems & Tools Optimization\nPartner with stakeholders to optimize the use of SAP, Adaptive Insights, and related systems.\nEstablish standardized templates, models, and reporting dashboards to improve transparency and comparability across teams.\nIdentify automation opportunities and partner with systems teams to implement enhancements.\nHeadcount & Fixed Cost Governance\nCreate consistent methodologies and practices for headcount tracking and reporting processes across divisions.\nStandardize collaboration between FBPs and HR to improve workforce planning accuracy.\nCoordinate with Corporate FP&A on reporting needs to ensure that FBP and SFA practices support Corporate FP&A requirements.\nCross-Functional Leadership & Influence\nOperate as a thought partner to FBPs across divisions, balancing local flexibility with enterprise-scale efficiency.\nInfluence stakeholders without direct authority to adopt standardized practices.\nProvide guidance, mentorship, and informal leadership to Senior Financial Analysts.\nLead special projects, including operating model redesign, tool implementation, and process transformation initiatives.\nScope & Impact\nBroad, cross-divisional scope.\nHigh degree of autonomy and decision-making authority.\nAccountability for improving finance team productivity and effectiveness.\nDirect impact on the quality, consistency, and scalability of financial planning processes.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).\nMinimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A and process improvement.\nDemonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives or driving operational standardization.\nStrong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial modeling.\nAdvanced proficiency in Excel, financial systems, and PowerPoint.\nExperience with SAP, Adaptive Insights, and Anaplan preferred.\nProven ability to influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.\nExcellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.\nWillingness to travel occasionally, as required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMBA, CPA, CMA, or an equivalent professional finance qualification.\nExperience in Corporate FP&A, finance transformation, or centralized financial planning operations within a large, publicly traded technology or SaaS organization.\nAdvanced proficiency in SAP, Workday Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, Power Query, SQL, or financial reporting automation tools.\nProven track record of standardizing forecasting, management reporting, headcount planning, and expense management processes across multiple business units.\nStrong understanding of financial governance, internal controls, process documentation, and scalable FP&A operating models.\nLearn More\nAbout Autodesk\nWelcome to Autodesk!
