This is senior individual contributor design role focused on shaping high-quality experiences for Autodesk’s future agentic product experiences, with an emphasis on applying generative AI to our design applications. You will be helping design how users initiate, iterate, and complete their work with AI, contributing to human-AI collaboration patterns that are adaptive, intuitive and contextually focused.\nResponsibilities\nDesign end-to-end flows and interaction patterns that responsibly leverage AI while keeping users in the loop\nVisualize and prototype solutions at multiple levels of fidelity, from high-level wireframes to testable, interactive high-fidelity prototypes\nRapidly develop and validate experience concepts through internal reviews and direct user feedback\nContribute to reusable design patterns and guidance for agentic and generative UI experiences\nPartner with product managers, engineers and other designers to bring concepts from early exploration through delivery\nCollaborate across teams to ensure design work remains aligned with adjacent products and platform initiatives\nWork closely with user research and product strategy to inform where AI can responsibly improve customer outcomes\nUse your visual communication skills to lead design presentations and workshops with a broad range of stakeholders and audiences\nMinimum Qualifications\n5+ years of professional UX or product design experience with demonstrated impact designing complex digital products\nBachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience\nDemonstrated ability to translate complex systems, behavioral signals, or business logic into simple and intuitive user experiences for data-intensive software products\nAbility to visualize and prototype intended solutions using both traditional and AI tools at various levels of fidelity\nStrong portfolio showing hands-on design craft, systems thinking, and high-quality execution across ambiguous product problems\nProven ability to contribute to experience strategy and influence product direction within a product area or workstream \nStrong ability to influence without authority, drive shared understanding and align cross-functional partners\nComfort working in environments with evolving AI capabilities, product requirements, and design constraints\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience designing or working with AI-supported tools and workflows, and familiarity with emerging AI concepts such as Agents and MCPs\nFirst-hand experience working with design tools across the AEC project lifecycle\nExperience mentoring peers or contributing to team design critique, design quality, and shared standards\nThe Ideal Candidate\nPassionate about designing the future of AI tools that help people solve real-world problems\nComfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity with curiosity and empathy\nCollaborative, optimistic, and proactive in building shared understanding across teams\nA systems thinker who enjoys connecting experiences across products and platforms\nLearn More\nAbout Autodesk\nWelcome to Autodesk! For Canada based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $94,000 and $137,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
