The ideal candidate understands payroll operations and has corporate and/or public accounting experience, excellent communication skills and the ability to produce high quality work in a high-energy team environment. The position will report to the Payroll Accounting Senior Manager.\nResponsibilities:\nPlay an integral part in the worldwide close process to support the consolidated financial statements\nResponsible for accurate and timely posting of global payroll accounting entries including stock related journals and hypo tax accounting\nResponsible for quarterly accruals - salary, vacation, social benefits, pensions, and other payroll costs\nPerform Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations\nPrepare flux analyses, reconciliations, and schedules for management and external auditors as appropriate\nLiaise with internal and external auditors on SOX audit, statutory audit, and US GAAP audits\nWork closely with business partners and accounting teams worldwide to understand changes in the business and statutory requirements which impact the financial statements\nAnalyze technical accounting issues and provide guidance to the Finance community, as required\nIdentify opportunities for process improvements to optimize the financial close process. These projects include automation, information systems improvements as well as creating efficiencies with manual processes\nAdditional ad hoc and special projects as required\nAnalytical advisor role that requires understanding of the theories and concepts of a discipline and the ability to apply best practices.\nA common career stabilization point (AKA the “full-contributor” level) for Professional roles.\nRequire knowledge and experience such that the incumbent can understand the full range of relevant principles, practices, and practical applications within their discipline.\nSolve complex problems of diverse scope by taking a new perspective on existing solutions and applying knowledge of best practices in practical situations.\nUse data analysis, judgment, and interpretation to select the right course of action.\nApply creativity in recommending variations in approach.\nConnect the dots” of assignments to the bigger picture.\nMay lead projects or key elements within a broader project.\nMay also have accountability for leading and improving on-going processes.\nBuild effective relationships with more senior practitioners and peers, and build a network of external peers.\nWork independently, with close guidance given at critical points.\nMay begin to act as a mentor or resource for colleagues with less experience.\nMinimum Qualifications\n5+ years of related experience (minimum 2 years of public accounting experience a plus)\nWorking knowledge of SAP is preferred\nExperience with Blackline a plus\nExperience in multi-national public companies is preferred (experience in software industry a plus)\nAble to demonstrate a solid understanding of relevant accounting principles under US GAAP\nExcellent planning, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to a non-technical audience\nDetail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement and growth\nStrong excel skills and ability to analyze data\nAbility to work well in a team and as an individual contributor\nAbility to prioritize workload, perform in a fast-paced global environment and work overtime during peak times such as quarter-end\nBA in Accounting or Finance with proven academic excellence\nCPA or requirements met for certification is preferred\nLearn More\nAbout Autodesk\nWelcome to Autodesk!
