The Compliance Analyst I is also responsible for research and regulatory analysis to support AutoNation Finance’s business.Job Responsibilities:\nUpdate internal company policies and procedures.\nEngage in examinations, the purpose of determining compliance with applicable consumer protection, fair lending and civil rights laws and regulations, and related enforcement activities.\nConduct compliance reviews for compliance with federal law (e.g., ECOA, FCRA, FDCPA, TILA, etc.) requirements.\nAssist management in formulating programs to address and correct deficiencies or problems identified.\nCoordinate examinations to ensure that review is completed on time.\nReview that business operations follow company established policies and procedures.\nConduct reviews to assess controls, operational efficiencies and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.\nAssist in regular compliance testing plans.\nCoordinate compliance training across the company.\nReview new products and services to ensure appropriate consideration of all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.\nPerform compliance/regulatory related research as requested by management.\nPerform other related duties as assigned or requested.\nEssential knowledge, skills and licenses:\nStandard and creative writing skills;\nEngagement and public speaking skills;\nAbility to organize and manage time effectively;\nActive listening and critical thinking skills;\nEffective judgement and decision making;\nExcellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills; Technologically intermediate/advanced skills in MS products - Work/Powerpoint/Excel; and\nBilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nBachelor’s Degree desired but not required.\nMinimum of three (3) years in the consumer financial services industry is required, and automobile financing experience is preferred.\nExperience with supervisory compliance examination process and procedures under the CFPB.\nMachines, office equipment & software:\nWeb navigation and/or web-based software applications.\nPersonal computer: Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.\n10-key calculator and QWERTY keyboard skills.\nCopier, faxing & other general office equipment. \nPhysical Demands:\nThis position requires sitting for long periods of time (up to two hours without break).\nThis position requires use of a keyboard for long periods of time (up to two hours without break).\nThis position requires extensive telephone communication activity.\nThere are no other significant physical demands associated with this position.\nThis position requires other specific physical demands, described below: Physical Demand: \nSome travel is required.
