You will work to exceed operational objectives, control costs, and develop a high-performing team. Above all, you will ensure that repairs are completed according to our client’s service expectations while collaborating with AutoNation teammates in a positive, innovative work environment.Key Responsibilities\nOperations Management\nEstablish work priorities and monitor key performance indicators to measure the success of fleet maintenance operations while implementing data-driven strategies for continuous improvement.\nCollaborate with client leadership to align operational goals and strategies, acting as a key liaison between the client and AutoNation. Provide recommendations for improving the maintenance and administration of their fleet of autonomous vehicles (“robotaxis”).\nEnsure all work orders are closed accurately and in a timely manner while adhering to SOPs and all AutoNation and client company policies, procedures, and safety standards.\nMaintain reporting systems required by AutoNation and clients.\nUnderstand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations affecting fleet maintenance and repair operations. Ensure compliance with all SOPs, safety protocols, and quality standards.\nSupport leadership by identifying operational gaps and implementing corrective actions.\nEnsure operations run consistently over several shifts covering a 24/7 work schedule.\nPerformance Management & Reporting\nTrack and analyze KPIs related to service operations and partner programs, including:Service Level Agreements\nTechnician efficiency\nTechnician utilization\nPartner-specific performance metrics\n\nRepresent your assigned service center in weekly and monthly performance updates for leadership and partners.\nUse data to drive process improvements, reduce friction, and enhance service delivery.\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nWork closely with HR, Finance, Training, and Field Operations teams.\nPartner with HR and Internal Training Teams, Training vendors to onboard technicians and maintain readiness for future needs.\nCustomer & Partner Experience\nReview customer and partner feedback to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nSupport initiatives that increase partner satisfaction, retention, and program expansion.\nDeliver weekly/monthly business reviews displaying operational excellence and transparency for the managed services AutoNation provides.\nContinuous Improvement\nEvaluate workflows and operational processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.\nRecommend and implement enhancements to scheduling, communication, routing, and technician management.\nSupport pilot programs, process rollouts, and technology initiatives that improve service performance and quality.\nLeadership\nLead and develop a team of up to 10 direct reports and approximately 150 indirect reports across multiple service functions.\nProvide ongoing coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to direct reports to strengthen leadership capability and drive high-performing teams.\nConduct regular performance reviews, set clear expectations, and create individualized development plans to support employee growth and organizational goals.\nMaintain a bench of high performers for promotions to ensure business continuity and succession planning.\nQualifications Required\n5+ years of experience in vehicle repair at an automotive service center or as a fleet operator.\nExperience managing a team of 25 or more vehicle technicians, with varying levels of skill and training.\nStrong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage simultaneous initiatives.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building abilities.\nExperience working with partners, vendors, or large accounts.\nData-driven mindset with ability to interpret KPIs, identify trends, and drive operational decisions.\nProficiency with scheduling platforms, CRM/operations systems, and standard office software.\nAbility to meet physical demands of service center operations and augment work schedule as needed to support maintenance operations over several shifts covering a 24/7 operations.\nPreferred\nBachelor’s degree in business, Operations Management, or related field.\nASE certifications.\nElectric or autonomous vehicle maintenance experience.\nFamiliarity with Google suite of office products such as Gmail, chat, and video conferencing.\nBackground in partner programs, insurance networks, or vendor management.\nUnderstanding logistics, dispatching, or field technician workflows.\nSalary range: $82,984 - $145,222 based on experience\nㅤ\nExciting Benefits and Perks Await You:\nCompetitive compensation and 401k matching\n\nEnjoy a healthy work-life balance with insurance plans (health, dental, vision) and maternity benefits.\n\nAssociate purchase and discount programs for new and pre-owned vehicles, services, parts, collision, accessories, and AutoGear\n\nAccess amazing deals and discounts through YouDecide, a website with offers from top providers and retailers\n\nJoin our DRVPNK mission to raise and donate millions of dollars to cancer research and treatment, partnering with cancer charities nationwide\n\nAutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering innovative products, exceptional services, and comprehensive solutions, empowering our customers to make the best decisions for their needs.
