This role ensures the organization has the right platforms, integrations, and capabilities in place to effectively drive growth, automation, and personalized customer experiences defined by the Digital Transformation and Customer Journey teams. Reporting to the Director, Digital Transformation, this role partners closely with Product Strategists, Technology, Data, Marketing, and external partners to translate experience strategy into scalable, reliable, and well-governed MarTech capabilities. The Sr. Manager will manage a small team responsible for overseeing and optimizing tools that enable marketing personalization.Responsibilities:\nLead the product vision, architecture, and roadmap for the marketing technology ecosystem, ensuring platforms and integrations support current and future customer experience strategy.\n\nManage and mentor a small team of marketing technologists and platform specialists.\n\nPrioritize overall MarTech initiatives for the team, balancing strategic intent, platform constraints, technical debt, and delivery capacity.\n\nMaintain a working knowledge of the marketing technology discipline, educating the team on updated and improved capabilities of both current partners and key vendors in the space.\n\nOversee the team’s translation of product strategy and lifecycle priorities into required MarTech capabilities, ensuring the correct gaps, dependencies, and the sequencing of needs across the tech stack is reflected correctly.\n\nPartner with Technology and Data team leads to define scalable, secure, and compliant platform architecture, integrations and data flows.\n\nDevelop and lead the process for evaluation and selection of MarTech vendors and platforms, including defining requirements, tradeoff analysis, and roadmap alignment.\n\nEstablish governance, standards, and guardrails for MarTech usage to enable speed and consistency while managing risk and complexity.\n\nDefine and track success metrics such as adoption, capability, utilization, and enablement of priority use cases.\n\nCommunicate MarTech direction, constraints, and progress clearly to team leaders across Product Strategy, Marketing, Technology, and other senior stakeholders.\n\nQualifications:\n6+ years of experience in management of marketing technology, digital platforms, or related roles within complex enterprise environments.\n\n2-5 years of leadership or team management experience.\n\n2-3 years in automotive (OEM, large dealer group, ad agency, or data partner) preferred.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.\n\nProven ability to supervise, grow, and foster talent within a team.\n\nDemonstrated experience owning and managing MarTech platforms including CDP, DAM, marketing automation, personalization, analytics, or related capabilities.\n\nAble to define platform roadmaps and architectures that enable strategic use cases rather than optimizing individual tools in isolation.\n\nExperience facilitating relationships with Technology and Data teams on architecture, integration, privacy, and scalability considerations.\n\nAbility to balance strategic vision with operational execution in a fast-moving environment.\n\nExperience leading projects with vendors and external partners, including platform evaluation, roadmap alignment, and ongoing relationship management.\n\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical constraints and opportunities to non-technical stakeholders.\n\nㅤ\n$120,000.00 - $200,000.00ㅤ\nExciting Benefits and Perks Await You:\nCompetitive compensation and 401k matching\n\nEnjoy a healthy work-life balance with insurance plans (health, dental, vision) and maternity benefits.\n\nAssociate purchase and discount programs for new and pre-owned vehicles, services, parts, collision, accessories, and AutoGear\n\nAccess amazing deals and discounts through YouDecide, a website with offers from top providers and retailers\n\nJoin our DRVPNK mission to raise and donate millions of dollars to cancer research and treatment, partnering with cancer charities nationwide\n\nAutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering innovative products, exceptional services, and comprehensive solutions, empowering our customers to make the best decisions for their needs.
