We are looking for a Principal Analytics Lead to build our Portfolio Intelligence capability for AutoProff, DealerTrack, CMS, Software and Finance. You will help business leaders understand performance through trusted core KPIs and reporting that reflects how each business operates. \nYou will report to the Central Analytics Lead, shape technical direction and work directly on complex analytical challenges. Just as importantly, you will help colleagues develop their skills and improve how the team delivers insight across the business.AI is embedded in our everyday work. You will use AI tools actively in analysis and development, help colleagues adopt effective workflows, and apply sound judgment to the results. \nWhat you’lldo \nShape the analytics priorities and reporting approach for portfolio businesses, connecting their commercial drivers to the decisions leaders need to make. \nCoach analysts through problem framing, pairing, reviewsand constructive feedback. Help colleagues develop their technical judgment, stakeholder communicationand confidence in owning complex work. \nRaise standards across Global Central Analytics by sharing best practices, creating reusable approachesand turning lessons from projects into guidance the wider team can apply. \nIdentifyopportunities to improve how the team works: simplify reporting, reduce manual effort and technical debt, and improve reliability, delivery speedand the cost of analytical workloads. \nMake AI part of everyday delivery, from SQL and Python development to exploration, testing, documentationand reporting. Evaluate new tools and agentic workflows, share what works, and validateresults against trusted data. \nLead complex reporting initiatives from requirements to adoption, staying hands-on with data models, pipelines and dashboardsand partnering with engineering and data platform teams. \nEstablish clear KPI definitions, ownershipand validation, with documentation and controlled changes that preserve comparability. Create reusable metrics and semantic contextthat support reliable self-service and AI-assisted analysis. \nDiagnose performance movements, identifyrisks and opportunities, and translate analysis into recommendations. Shapethe insights discussed in weekly and monthly business reviews with the relevant business owners. \nPartner with FP&A to establishand maintain financial core KPI reporting, connecting operational performance with financial outcomes while respecting Finance’s ownership of financial definitions and reporting decisions. \nAct as a senior analytics partner tobusiness and technical leaders. Resolve ambiguity, challenge assumptionsand align stakeholders on priorities, trade-offsand a practical delivery approach. \nWhat you bring \nA record of senior-level impact in analytics, including shaping ambiguous problems, leading complex initiativesand influencing decisions across teams. \nAdvanced SQL and strong data modelling skills, with practical experience building maintainable analytical datasets and transformations across multiple source systems. \nProgramming and automation skills for repeatable data preparation, analysisand validation, using a language such as Python. \nHands-on use of AI assistants and agentic workflows in analytical or coding work, with the judgment to test generated code, validateconclusions and recognize limitations. \nExperience delivering reliable reporting with cloud data platforms, transformation toolsand BI systems, supported by version control, testingand documentation. \nProven ownership of KPI frameworks and reporting quality, including reconciliation, validation and changes to definitions or sources. \nThe ability to learn unfamiliar business domains, identifytheir performance driversand balance reusable standards with business-specific needs. \nExperience coaching analysts, improving team practices and sharing knowledge beyond your own projects, while remainingclosely involvedin technical delivery. \nConfidence working with senior stakeholders, challenging unclear requirements constructivelyand translating analysis into decisions and practical recommendations. \nPreferred experience \nExperience leading a small analytics team, supporting colleagues’ developmentand helping them prioritize their work. \nExperience partnering with Finance or FP&A on financial KPIs, management reporting, reconciliationor the connection between operational and financial performance. \nExperience developing shared metrics, semantic layersor AI-enabled self-service analytics. \nExperience establishinganalytics or recurring business reviews across multiple business units, particularly in software, FinTech, dealer services or B2B businesses. \nA culture of growth.
