This role is central to the financial integrity of our business-overseeing high-volume transaction accounting, ensuring accuracy in earnings and cost of goods sold, and strengthening the systems that support our growth.\nReporting directly to the CEO, the Controller will play a key role in financial strategy, operational execution, and decision support. Do\nAccounting Operations & Oversight\nLead all day-to-day accounting operations including AP, AR, general ledger, and payroll\nEnsure accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of accounting processes\nPayment Reconciliation & Transaction Integrity\nOversee reconciliation of high-volume payment flows and trust account disbursements\nEnsure precise matching of incoming funds, processor settlements, and merchant payouts\nServe as a critical control point for transaction accuracy and financial integrity\nFinancial Reporting\nPrepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP\nDeliver clear, actionable financial insights to leadership\nInternal Controls & Compliance\nPartner with the Chief Compliance Officer to strengthen internal controls and fraud prevention measures\nEnsure compliance with PCI-DSS, SOC 2 standards, and applicable regulations\nTreasury & Cash Management\nManage cash concentration and movement from trust accounts\nOversee forecasting and liquidity planning to support operational needs\nTax & External Coordination\nAct as liaison with external tax partners to ensure timely and accurate filings\nStrategic Finance & Business Support\nAnalyze program and campaign performance, including yield and profitability\nSupport annual budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning\nProvide insights that guide growth and operational decision-making\nTeam Leadership\nLead, mentor, and develop the accounting team\nBuild a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement\nWhat You Bring\nEducation & Credentials\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)\nCPA, CMA, or CCM strongly preferred\nExperience\n8+ years of progressive accounting experience\n4+ years in a leadership or supervisory role\nExperience in fintech, payment processing, or high-volume transaction environments strongly preferred\nTechnical Skills\nAdvanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems\nSQL or data querying experience is a plus\nKnowledge\nStrong command of GAAP\nFamiliarity with tax considerations including Section
