And much more floor space.\nAutoStore - moving things forward.\nThe Role:\nAutoStore is hiring a Senior Electronics Engineer who has carried new products to market. We are looking for an engineer with experience taking high-volume products from concept to launch. The successful engineer will have guided PCBAs through the challenges encountered during the development cycle, including resolving complex issues such as EMC failures experienced during certification and yield drops at the EMS partner, and making the design trade-offs required to recover without compromising long-term reliability.\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\nPCBA Ownership - Concept Through to Production\nLead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems from concept through architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, prototyping, validation, and production release. \nSet hardware architecture, component strategy, and BOM cost/risk profile. \nDesign schematics and layouts, ensuring signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performance. \nLead and execute root-cause analysis. \nOwn EMC and safety compliance, from design-for-EMC through pre-compliance and formal certification. \nLead DFM/DFT/DFx with EMS partners; define production test strategy and coverage. \nOwn NPI, pilot builds, and production builds. \nPartner with the firmware team on control discussions, implementation, and fault handling. \nDesign robust technology with the noise immunity a moving robotic platform demands. \nKey Qualifications:\n9+ years in electronics engineering spanning analog, digital, and power electronics. \nExperience with design for high-volume manufacturing with global EMS suppliers. \nExperience with sensor interface design and embedded communication bus design in electrically noisy, electromechanical environments. \nExperience with common serial communication protocols. \nExperience architecting and designing advanced motor driver PCBAs and power electronics. \nExperience designing embedded electronics and systems ranging from resource-constrained microcontroller platforms to Linux-based embedded systems. \nExperience with safety and compliance issues around fault detection, safe-state designs, and diagnostics. \nDeep, practical understanding of EMC and design-for-EMC. \nDFM & DFT for high-volume electromechanical products. \nExperience with battery-powered systems and system power budgeting. \nDemonstrated technical leadership: setting direction for others, reviewing designs, and mentoring. \nMaster's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering (relevant experience may substitute for formal education). \n We Offer:\nAutoStore believes in taking care of employees and is dedicated to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
