And much more floor space.\nAutoStore - moving things forward.\nThe Role:\nAs a Senior Software Engineer on the Qubit team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining highly reliable, scalable, and observable software systems that support 24/7 warehouse automation and client operations. You’ll collaborate with a team of talented engineers to deliver robust tooling, public API development, telemetry, and data analytics that directly impact customer value.\nThe Qubit team is at the heart of AutoStore’s warehouse fulfillment strategy, powering high-uptime, client-facing systems used by major global brands. You’ll contribute to a platform that supports real-time operations, integrates with hardware, and scales across multiple sites. This is a hands-on engineering role with opportunities to lead initiatives, mentor peers, and shape the future of our software architecture.\nKey Tasks and Responsibilities:\nLead the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions.\nWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.\nConduct code reviews and share knowledge with team members.\nTroubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.\nDevelop and maintain technical documentation.\nMentor junior engineers and foster their growth.\nCollaborate with Cloud Infrastructure Engineers and other squads on architecture and deployment strategies.\nEvangelize technical concepts and contribute to setting SLOs and SLIs for core features.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.\nStrong understanding of software development methodologies and tools.\nStrong communication and teamwork abilities.\nKey Qualifications:\nBachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of experience in software development \nProficiency with version control systems, especially Git.\nStrong experience developing and maintaining public APIs.\nSolid understanding of access management, security protocols, and OAuth.\nFamiliarity with OpenAPI specifications.\nHands-on experience with messaging frameworks such as RabbitMQ, Apache Kafka, Azure Service Bus, and Event Hubs.\nExposure to hardware integration is a plus.\nExperience working with data lake platforms, particularly Azure Databricks.\nAdvanced proficiency in TypeScript and .NET languages including C# and F#; functional programming experience is highly desirable.\nWorking knowledge of PostgreSQL databases.\nDeep understanding of concurrency control and multi-tenant architecture.\nWe Offer:\nAutoStore believes in taking care of employees and is dedicated to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
