AutoStore is a warehouse automation technology company specializing in cube-based automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). Headquartered in Nedre Vats, Norway, the firm develops robotic systems, hardware, and software solutions designed to maximize storage density and streamline order fulfillment. Its high-density, modular logistics infrastructure is deployed globally across retail, e-commerce, and industrial supply chain operations.

AutoStore’s R&D Test department plays a key role in ensuring the quality, functionality, and safety of our products by thoroughly testing hardware and software components-including firmware, mechanical systems, electrical and radio interfaces. As a Test Engineer, you’ll be responsible for running tests and verifications across the full hardware product portfolio, identifying issues and ensuring top-tier performance before release.

In this hands-on role, you’ll work with both early-stage prototypes and finalized modules, contributing to new development and sustaining projects. As a test engineer, you will take a leading role in cross functional teams, taking ownership of the testing, and being responsible for ensuring progress and high standards. Success in this role requires curiosity, attention to detail, and a deep interest in understanding how AutoStore’s systems operate. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across departments, combining desk-based analysis with active testing in our facilities to help deliver high-quality products to market.

  • Improving the AutoStore product range from A to Z through acquiring system-wide knowledge, including from a customer perspective.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in Automation, Electronics, IT or relevant higher education including mechanical and computer engineering

  • Strong IT competence within software and digital tools used to analyse how products and solutions work

  • Testing experience desired. ISTQB Certification or similar would be a bonus. Knowledge of test planning, analysis, execution and completion

  • It is an advantage to have good knowledge of tools for test administration (Jira, Xray, Confluence, Excel etc.).
