This role balances technical depth, people leadership, and delivery execution, ensuring that cloud-native, secure, and scalable solutions are delivered on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).\nThe Technical Manager partners closely with architects, product managers, security, and business stakeholders to translate architectural vision into high-quality execution. This role is accountable for engineering excellence, team development, and consistent delivery of reliable, secure, and performant software products that support AutoZone’s growth and global expansion.\n Lead and oversee the design of robust ETL pipelines ensuring data reliability and accuracy.\nImplement monitoring and alerting of data pipelines to track data quality and data freshness.\nLead a team of software engineers in the development of data services layer.\nExperience with data engineering pipelines using Big Query as the data platform,\nEnsure consistent application of engineering best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE), automated testing, and deployment strategies.\nOwn delivery commitments for team initiatives, ensuring predictable execution, high quality, and on-time delivery using Agile and DevOps methodologies.\nCollaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to ensure security, privacy, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, LGPD, etc.) are embedded into software development and operational processes. \nConduct and participate in code reviews, design reviews, and architectural discussions to ensure technical quality and adherence to standards.\nWork closely with product management and business leaders to translate requirements into actionable technical plans and incremental delivery milestones.\nMonitor and improve system performance, reliability, and operational health across production environments.\nPeople & Leadership Responsibilities\nDirectly manage, mentor, and develop engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. \nSupport career development through regular feedback, coaching, and performance management aligned with company values and engineering expectations. \nPromote adoption of modern development practices, engineering discipline, and a strong quality mindset across teams. \nAct as an escalation point for technical and delivery issues, driving timely resolution while maintaining team morale and focus.\n Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience. \n15+ years of professional software development experience, including leadership of data platforms.\n5+ years of experience leading or managing data engineering teams. \nSolid back-end development experience using Java (Spring Boot) and Data Management tools. \nExperience designing and working with relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).\nExperience in developing ETL pipelines and data governance.\nExperience in Agentic AI development.\nPractical experience with cloud-native development on Google Cloud Platform, including services such as GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Apigee, and data platforms. \nExperience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD), containerization, and Kubernetes-based deployments.\nStrong understanding of security, privacy, and compliance considerations for SaaS
