We trust you to get the job done where you feel most comfortable and effective.\n\nWhat’s this role about?\nAs a software engineer at Auvik, you’ll be part of an agile team of coders, developing a network management service that monitors millions of devices, while solving big challenges for our customers. Drawing on your love of developing creative solutions, your can-do attitude, and your drive to do great work, you’ll help Auvik continue to build software our customers can rely on.\nWhat will I be doing?\nThe industry is shifting towards cloud based systems and distributed work environments. We need senior software developers like yourself to level up on our product offerings. In this role, you will:\nFocus on designing architectures for microservices that are consistent, scalable, high quality and tolerant to faults and failures.\nDeploy and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes orchestration.\nDesign and implement protocols for communication in a highly scalable, distributed system.\nDevelop reliable and performant code for our collector deployed at tens of thousands of customer sites.\nDevelop tooling using information from Netflow, Syslog, and other networking standards.\nHelp expand the depth and breadth of our solution based on your deep knowledge of networking devices and protocols.\nCollaborate with engineering and product management to deliver software components to meet the needs of our customers. \nApply AI-enabled techniques to solve complex engineering problems, using intelligent tooling, automation, and data-informed debugging to build scalable systems, improve reliability, and accelerate delivery across the stack.\nWhat are we looking for?\nProven experience developing quality code and architectures preferably using or Golang or Javascript).\nBackground in designing and developing microservices.\nKnowledge of cloud computing, preferably AWS.\nAdept in building reliable, highly available, and scalable software on top of the Kafka streaming platform.\nProficiency in agile methodologies such as scrum.\nDeep understanding of CI/CD pipeline to test and deploy.\nPassion for mentoring and guiding junior and intermediate team members.\nEnthusiasm towards researching new technologies and making recommendations based on experiences and findings.\nAccountability towards following processes and making suggestions for improvements.\nDesire to collaboratively create elegant, scalable, modern, code that evolves our products.\nStrong communication skills (written and verbal) to work collaboratively with the immediate team and the larger organization.\nWe’re actively hiring for this role and looking to bring someone great onto the team as soon as possible. \nAbout Auvik\nAuvik delivers cloud-based network management software that gives IT teams instant visibility and control over their infrastructure - whether on-site, remote, or dispersed across global networks. We have defined job levels and compensation ranges for each of our markets we employ, based on research from various sources of market data, which are reviewed on a regular basis.\nThe hiring range for this position is listed below. Compensation offered for candidates in this role is based on a number of factors including job-related skills, knowledge, and experience. These factors may cause your compensation to vary within the range outlined below. \nIn addition to cash compensation, all full-time employees are granted stock options to share in Auvik’s future successes.
