This role serves as a technical translator between business and technology stakeholders, helping healthcare organizations envision how Availity's platform, interoperability capabilities, and workflow solutions can solve complex business challenges.\nThe Solutions Architect will partner closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, Delivery, and Customer Success teams to drive pipeline growth, accelerate technical wins, and architect scalable solutions across payer, provider, and Health IT (HIT) organizations.\nThis individual will lead executive-level discovery, develop compelling value and ROI narratives, map customer business objectives to Availity capabilities, and design technical solution architectures that align with customer environments and strategic goals.\nThe successful candidate will become a trusted advisor to both business and technical decision makers, including CIOs, enterprise architects, interoperability leaders, and operational executives.\nSponsorship, in any form, is not available for this position.\nLocation: Remote, US\nWhy you want to work on this team:\nHelp shape the future of healthcare interoperability, workflow automation, and API-driven healthcare experiences\nWork on highly visible strategic opportunities involving FHIR APIs, CMS interoperability initiatives, workflow orchestration, and emerging AI-enabled healthcare workflows\nPartner directly with executive stakeholders across provider, payer, and Health IT organizations\nOperate at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise architecture, healthcare workflows, and technology innovation\nInfluence both product direction and customer outcomes while driving meaningful revenue growth\nTo be qualified for this position you:\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, or a related field\n3-6+ years of healthcare technology experience in solutions architecture, consulting, interoperability, implementation, or technical presales\nExperience in customer-facing roles supporting healthcare organizations, technology vendors, or consulting engagements\nStrong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards including FHIR, HL7, APIs, and X12 transactions\nExperience discussing technical architecture with both executive and technical stakeholders\nFamiliarity with provider and payer workflows, including revenue cycle, claims, eligibility, prior authorization, and clinical documentation processes\nExperience designing integration strategies and solution architectures\nStrong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions and technical concepts into business value\nDemonstrated success partnering with sales teams to drive pipeline growth and customer adoption\nYou will set yourself apart with:\nExperience with FHIR implementation guides, Da Vinci accelerators, and healthcare interoperability programs\nExperience integrating with EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), Athenahealth, Meditech, or similar systems\nKnowledge of workflow orchestration, automation platforms, and cloud-native architectures\nExperience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, REST APIs, API gateways, and event-driven architectures\nExposure to AI-enabled workflows, intelligent automation, or agentic healthcare solutions\nAbility to read code, understand data models, and collaborate effectively with engineering teams\nYou will be:\nLeading strategic business and technical discovery sessions to identify customer challenges, workflow inefficiencies, and transformation opportunities.\nDesigning solution architectures and integration strategies leveraging Availity Extend, FHIR APIs, interoperability standards, and workflow automation capabilities.\nPresenting value-driven solution recommendations and reference architectures to executive and technical stakeholders, including CIOs and Enterprise Architects.\nPartnering with Account Executives, Solutions Engineers, Product, and Delivery teams to accelerate technical wins and drive revenue growth.\nTranslating customer business requirements into scalable technical designs, integration approaches, and future-state workflow models.\nServing as a trusted advisor to customers by helping them navigate interoperability, workflow modernization, and healthcare technology transformation initiatives.\nAvaility culture and benefits:\nAvaility is a certified “Great Place to Work”!
