Complex or high-risk employee relations, compliance, or business matters will be escalated to the Director of Human Resources. The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder who can effectively balance employee advocacy, business objectives, and compliance. \n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nServe as a trusted HR advisor on employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, and consistent application of HR policies and practices; escalate complex or high-risk matters to the Director of Human Resources. \nServe as an accessible resource to all employees, responding to questions and providing timely guidance on HR policies, processes, and programs. \nPartner with the Director of Human Resources to coach and support leaders on performance, accountability, employee engagement, retention, and workforce effectiveness. \nSupport the Director of Human Resources on employee relations activities, including investigations, performance concerns, attendance, workplace conflicts, and policy matters, ensuring appropriate documentation and follow-through. \nPartner with recruiters and hiring managers on talent acquisition and ensure an effective, engaging, and consistent onboarding experience for new employees. \nPartner with HR Shared Services to ensure accurate HRIS transactions, employee records, benefits administration, leave and accommodation processes, and other employee lifecycle activities. \nPartner with Operations leadership to address staffing, attendance, retention, productivity, and other workforce challenges. \nSupport workers' compensation, workplace injury, and employment compliance activities while maintaining current knowledge of applicable HR practices and regulations. \nAssist the Director of Human Resources with organizational development, policy development, process improvement, employee engagement initiatives, and other strategic HR priorities. \nTravel between the Mentor, OH and Akron, OH facilities as needed. Hybrid work arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis based on business needs and role requirements.\n\nWhat You’ll Need:\nBachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. \n3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing, medical device, pharmaceutical, or other regulated environment. \nExperience supporting both hourly and salaried employee populations. \nKnowledge of employee relations, performance management, recruiting, compensation, benefits, HRIS, and employment practices. \nDemonstrated ability to support day-to-day HR activities and effectively balance operational responsibilities with broader HR priorities. \nWorking knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. \nDemonstrated ability to build effective relationships and partner with leaders at all levels of an organization. \nStrong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. \nDemonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and effectively manage sensitive employee matters. \nStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. \nProficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office applications. \nAbility to travel between the Mentor, OH and Akron, OH facilities on a weekly
