No one can predict the future of insurance, so we're building it.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for an exceptional Product Engineer. You'll build the platform that lets insurance teams put AI to work on real operations, and trust it when it matters. Your job is to find what the platform needs next and build it.\nOur forward-deployed engineers run customer deployments on top of the platform. You build the platform itself. Working closely with them, design, and customers, you'll spot the hard problems that keep coming up and turn them into product: the smallest version that creates value now and extends cleanly later.\nWhat You'll Work On\nShape the product from the start. You come in early, working with customers, design, and product strategy to decide what gets built and why, not picking up tickets after the decisions are made.\n\nBuild the rails insurance will run on. From public chat interfaces where claimants report and follow their claims, to branded portals our largest carrier customers host on Avallon, you build the surfaces the industry will soon run on.\n\nHelp teams confidently automate more. Build clear, auditable claim context and the experiences that let people review and approve agent work, giving teams control where it matters and letting them expand automation with confidence.\n\nOwn it end to end, in production. Build the whole flow yourself, from data model to backend to interface, then own how it performs: instrument it, watch how real users move through it in Datadog RUM, and keep pushing it as more teams rely on it.\n\nThe work is broad, and your impact will grow wherever the platform needs you most. You will take on a meaningful challenge, ship it quickly, watch what changes in production, and go again.\nYou\nYou have 3+ years building and owning meaningful software in production. You can point to a difficult challenge you solved or a system you built that changed what was possible, explain the judgment behind it, and answer for the outcome once it was live.\n\nYou are a full-stack product engineer who builds whole flows yourself. TypeScript and SQL are your working tools; you design the data model and backend as readily as the interface on top of it. You work closely with design and product strategy, have opinions about what to build, and can explain them clearly. This is not a frontend-only role.\n\nYou have built and operated LLM- or agent-powered products in production, and understand the challenges of making them reliable at scale.\n\nYou want to be in the room.
