As determined by the company based upon business needs, an employee in this position may be required to perform duties and take responsibility for work other than as described in this document.\nAbout the Data Engineer II - Analytics Position:\nWithin the analytics department, the Data Engineer will aid teammates by using various methods to transform raw data into useful data systems, preparing data for modeling, and assisting in maintaining the infrastructure used for analytics. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for assessing and reporting on data quality and striving for efficiencies by aligning data systems with business goals. This position entails ensuring the Business Intelligence team and the business owners have valid and reliable data available for consumption by internal and external clients.\nThis position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.\nData Engineer II - Analytics - Essential Functions and Responsibilities:\nMonitor, maintain, and improve existing production data pipelines and processes\nBuild new reliable, scalable, efficient ETL processes extracting data from multiple sources\nSupport analytical teams, tools, and programs using Data Warehouse products\nAutomate data pipelines, monitoring, and maintenance\nParticipate in code review, working to identify, debug, and version control code changes\nPartner with stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver quality data products\nCollaborate with team members on several projects at once\nEmploy strong analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail\nCurate data for advanced analytics and data science\nEnsure data accuracy, quality, security, integrity, and reliability\nMaintain documentation of data, ETLs, processes, repositories, issues, etc.\nData Engineer II - Analytics - Minimum Qualifications:\nAdvanced SQL skills and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS)\nExperience with data warehousing and pipelines (ETLs, job scheduling, maintenance, monitoring, etc.)\nKnowledge of relational database design\nExperience with SQL performance tuning, role-based access, indexing\nExperience using git version control\nAgile software development best practices\nExcellent communication, problem solving, and organization skills\nExperience supporting data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI)\nData Engineer II -
