As determined by the company based upon business needs, an employee in this position may be required to perform duties and take responsibility for work other than as described in this document.\nAbout the Network Engineer III Position:\nThe Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, optimization, and support of Avalon’s multi-region cloud network infrastructure. This position provides technical leadership for enterprise networking architecture and is accountable for ensuring the availability, security, scalability, and performance of network services across cloud environments. The Senior Network Engineer collaborates with infrastructure, security, application, and DevOps teams to develop and maintain network solutions that support business operations, regulatory requirements, and organizational growth.\nThis position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon’s corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.\nNetwork Engineer III - Essential Functions and Responsibilities:\nDesign and implement multi-region AWS network architectures including VPCs, subnets, security groups, NACLs, and routing policies.\nManage and optimize AWS networking services including Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, CloudFront, and Application Load Balancers.\nArchitect and deploy highly available, resilient network solutions with automated failover and disaster recovery capabilities.\nImplement network security best practices including encryption, access control, network segmentation, and compliance requirements.\nMonitor network performance and implement optimization strategies to reduce latency and improve throughput across regions.\nLead infrastructure planning and capacity forecasting for future network growth and scaling needs.\nCollaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure network architecture supports CI/CD pipelines and containerized workloads.\nDocument network architecture, configurations, and runbooks;
