You will work collaboratively within your scrum team as well as cross team to solution for new features as well as troubleshoot medium-high complexity problems. Your ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, as well as IT Leadership will be essential in achieving our goals.\nThis position is eligible for remote work, but quarterly travel will be required to Avalon's corporate office located in Tampa, Florida.\nQuality Assurance Engineer III - Essential Functions and Responsibilities:\nFour (4) to Eight (8) in a health care or related organization. Excellent understanding of Quality Assurance Engineering and expert level experience with one or many scripting languages\nUndergraduate degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline. Equivalent experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree(s). \nExcellent understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. \nExpert skillset with automation testing tools and scripting languages. \nDevelop and define test strategies, plans, and maintain automation test data. \nTroubleshoot and debug medium-high complexity issues in the software \nCollaborate and communicate effectively to understand requirements and provide updates to both IT Leadership as well as business stakeholders. \nCapable of working individually and collaboratively \nAbility to clearly document functionality and defects \nStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail \nGrowth mindset driven to continuous improvement \nMentor and grow team members a must. \nDisplays ownership and pride in solutions delivered \nQuality Assurance Engineer III - Minimum Qualifications:\nExcellent understanding of the SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle).\nDefine and mature QA methodologies and processes \nExpert level skill in one or many scripting/programming languages \nAbility to translate applications Business Case into clear test scenarios/cases \nPerficient in systematic troubleshooting \nAbility to recommend areas of improvement through testing and statistical analysis \nExperience load testing \nExperience performance testing \nExpert understanding of SQL and data validation \nBasic understanding of SLA/SLI/SLO’s \nStrong verbal and written communication skills \nAbility to focus on deadlines and deliverables \nSolid understanding of HTTP/REST fundamentals \nSolid understanding of JSON/XML/YAML fundamentals \nExperience with Agile and Scrum \nProficient with standard business applications such as Word, Excel, etc. \nMentors junior team members on processes, best practices, and new technologies\nQuality Assurance Engineer III - Preferred Qualifications:\nExpert level ability to script in one or more of the following: \nJavaScript/Typescript (Preferred) \nBash \nPython \nPowerShell \nVerbose experience with E2E frameworks such as Playwright, Protractor, Cypress, or Selenium. (Playwright preferred) \nWorking experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket (or something comparable) \nFluency in containerization/cloud technologies.
