environments that are fully operationally ready, ensuring a seamless transition to Run teams and long-term stability of Avaloq platforms.\nWe are looking for a DevOps Middleware Engineer to join our collaborative Cloud & Infrastructure Delivery Unit (APAC & UK).\nIn this role, you will implement, configure, and deliver cloud-based environments, working closely with architecture and automation teams to transform approved designs into fully deployed, integrated, and production-ready platforms within defined project timelines.\nCloud Platform Implementation & Delivery\nBuild and deliver cloud-based Avaloq banking environments on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)\nImplement infrastructure using Avaloq Environment Modeling (EM) technology, leveraging Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code (IaC)\nInstall and configure middleware platforms and application environments as core components of the delivery\nDeploy and configure containerized middleware workloads on Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms\nEnsure environments are delivered in a consistent, automated, and repeatable manner aligned with Avaloq standards\nSupport integration of middleware, application, and infrastructure components into a fully functional platform\nDeliver production-ready environments prepared for handover to Run/Operations teams\nMiddleware & Application Platform Implementation\nAct as the primary owner for middleware layer implementation within delivered environments\nInstall, configure, and deploy middleware and application server platforms (JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat)\nExecute middleware deployments, upgrades, and migrations within project timelines\nImplement secure data transfer and integration mechanisms (SFTP, messaging systems)\nEnsure middleware configurations comply with security, performance, and operational standards\nOperational Readiness & Transition\nValidate delivered environments against operational, security, and compliance requirements\nImplement and configure monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities\nPrepare and deliver handover documentation to Run/Operations teams\nSupport go-live activities and stabilization phases\nProject Delivery Execution\nExecute delivery tasks in line with project scope, timelines, and quality expectations\nWork closely with architecture, automation, and project management teams\nIdentify and resolve delivery blockers and technical dependencies\nProvide accurate progress tracking, effort estimates, and status updates\n Degree in Computer Science or IT, or equivalent professional experience\nStrong Linux knowledge (Windows is a plus)\nExperience with at least one cloud provider (Oracle preferred).\nHands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Git, and Infrastructure as Code practices\nExperience with Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms and containerized workloads\nExperience with J2EE application servers (JBoss, WebLogic, Tomcat)\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, secure connectivity)\nKnowledge of secure data transfer (SFTP), SSL, and certificate management\nExperience implementing and integrating middleware and platform components\nWhat You
