We believe that AI success starts with strong data foundations, semantics, and governance.\nWhat We’re Looking For: We are looking for a senior Snowflake Data & AI Platform Engineer with proven, hands-on experience building production-grade analytical data platforms.\nYou will play a key role in scaling our Snowflake-based analytics platform, shaping data products, governance, and AI enablement, and acting as a technical reference for both internal teams and clients. This role is designed for experienced professionals who think platform-first, not project-first.\nKey Tasks\nSnowflake Analytics & Platform Engineering:\nDesign and evolve Snowflake-native analytical data products.\nBuild reusable, governed semantic datasets for positions, transactions, cash, performance, P&L, and risk.\nLeverage Snowflake native capabilities such as Dynamic Tables, Streams and Tasks, Secure Views, RBAC, data sharing, and cost and workload optimization strategies.\nData Semantics & Modeling\nTranslate Avaloq Core Platform (ACP) structures into business-meaningful analytical models.\nApply modern modeling approaches such as dimensional modeling and medallion or data-product-oriented architectures.\nDefine consistent metrics, KPIs, and analytical domains reusable across clients.\nEnsure datasets are discoverable, well-documented, and trustworthy.\nGovernance, Security & Quality\nImplement Snowflake-native governance frameworks including masking policies, row-level security, object tagging, and access policies. Build data quality, security, and trust into the platform by design.\nAI & Advanced Analytics Enablement\nPrepare the platform for enterprise-grade AI usage.\nEnable AI and advanced analytics use cases using Snowflake Cortex, Snowpark ML, vector search, and document intelligence.\nFocus on AI enablement and operationalization rather than pure data science experimentation.\nSupport analytics, intelligence, and automation scenarios across banking domains.\nCollaboration & Technical Leadership\nAct as a senior technical reference for Snowflake within the team.\nCollaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, and Engineers across locations.\nSupport proofs of concept, client onboarding, and production rollouts.\nDrive documentation, standards, and best practices for the data platform.\n Must-Have\nStrong, hands-on experience building Snowflake-based data platforms.\nHands-on experience with dbt or similar analytics-engineering tools.\nProven production track record, not limited to PoCs.\nExcellent SQL skills and strong Python proficiency.\nDeep understanding of analytical data modeling and data semantics.\nExperience integrating enterprise data sources such as Oracle and Kafka.\nCloud-native mindset, including CI/CD and automation.\nFluency in spoken and written English.\nStrong Advantages\nExperience in financial services or banking.\nKnowledge of Avaloq Core Platform or similar core banking systems.\nHands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex, Native Apps, or Marketplace.\nExperience with data governance and data quality frameworks.\nAbility to think platform-first with long-term scalability and reuse in mind.\n3+ years of experience in fintech or the financial services industry\nKnowledge of the Avaloq Banking Suite\nFamiliarity with Oracle Cloud
