This person will implement and maintain backup procedures, assist in developing and testing disaster recovery and COOP plans. This person will perform daily management of backup systems, monitor backup job completions, and resolve backup failures. This person will conduct regular backup verifications and test restores to ensure data recoverability. This person will manage tape rotations (if applicable) and off-site storage of backup media. This person will assist in capacity planning for backup infrastructure, implement data retention policies, and manage backup schedules to minimize impact on production systems. This person will collaborate with system administrators and database administrators to ensure all critical data is properly backed up. This person will participate in disaster recovery exercises, document recovery procedures, and contribute to the continuous improvement of backup and recovery processes.
