industries and business domains\n.\nSkills and experience\nRequired skills\nBackend development\nAt least 3 years of commercial software development experience using C# and .NET\nExperience building backend applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core\nExperience designing and integrating REST APIs and distributed services\nPractical experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-based application development\nExperience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server / Azure SQL)\nKnowledge of automated testing, clean code principles, design patterns and modern software architecture\nExperience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions\nData platforms and integration\nCommercial experience contributing to data pipelines, data transformations or data integration solutions\nHands-on experience with at least one of the following data platforms:Microsoft Fabric, including Data Factory, Lakehouse or related data workloads\nDatabricks, preferably Azure Databricks\n\nPractical experience using Python for data processing, automation or system integration\nStrong SQL skills for querying, transforming and validating data\nUnderstanding of core data engineering concepts, including:ETL and ELT\nData modelling\nData quality\nData lake, lakehouse and data warehouse architectures\nData governance\n\nGeneral\nAbility to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders\nWillingness to work across backend development, system integration and data platform responsibilities\nEnglish language skills at B2 level or higher, as English is used in daily communication\nNice to have\nExperience with both Microsoft Fabric and Databricks\nPractical knowledge of PySpark and Apache Spark concepts\nExperience with Data Factory (Microsoft Fabric or Azure) and lake storage such as OneLake, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 or Delta Lake\nFamiliarity with Unity Catalog or similar data governance capabilities\nExperience with messaging and event-driven architecture, such as Azure Service Bus or Azure Event Hubs\nFamiliarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes\nExperience contributing to AI-enabled applications or data solutions, e.g. using Microsoft AI services or Copilot Studio\nExperience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code\nKnowledge of frontend technologies such as React or
