This role will actively support sales and will be accountable for estimating, planning, mobilization, execution, and successful closure of projects. During the project life-cycle, you will communicate status with regular frequency, manage risks, and issue and monitor financial performance according to agreements made between Avanade and the customer. \nWhat you'll do\nManage issues and risks associated with the project, including balancing scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks, and will manage aspects through formal change management mechanisms.\nDevelop, implement, and maintain a detailed project work plan, including appropriate controls, governance structures and monitoring to ensure on-time, on-budget, and quality outcomes.\nEnsure accurate development and traceability of requirements during project lifecycle.\nManage the change enablement process throughout project duration.\nManage client expectations, updates and buy-in, including representing Avanade at governance meetings.\nManage and develop customer relationships and perceptions to achieve mutual goals.\nManage Avanade and subcontractor staff assigned to the project.\nDetermine the project approach, staffing, responsibilities, and schedule.\nEnsure that project resources receive any necessary training and are used effectively.\nEngage and manage appropriate onshore, offshore, and near shore workforces, including Service Licensing Agreements (SLAs).\nAssist in the sales process, including estimating work effort and expenses using Avanade's standard tools.\n.\nSkills and experience\nDemonstrated ability to think and work systematically and logically.\nGood understanding of contract terms and interpretation.\nDemonstrated understanding of key Project/Program Management disciplines (estimating, work planning, contract management, scope management, user acceptance, etc.).\nExperience in customer expectations management.\nDemonstrated experience employing project management methods, tools, techniques.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft platform technologies.\nIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Project and Team Foundation Server (TFS).\nGood knowledge of Earned Value reporting.\nClear and concise oral and written communication.\nNegotiation skills.\nResults oriented / self-directed ability to drive change in unstructured environment.\nGood client interface and presentation skills.\nGood business acumen.\nTime management skills.\nCustomer oriented attitude and good interpersonal skills.\nGood people management skills, including ability to lead a team and mentor individuals in career growth.\nA Bachelor's degree in business or technology-related field (or equivalent).\n5-7 years of consulting project management experience.\n5+ years of direct people management experience.\nPreferred Certifications\nProject Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification preferred, but not required. DMA II completion\nCompensation at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
