You will learn how to deliver and solution large and global Data Protection solutions, as well as gain the knowledge and experience of Microsoft’s broader Security, Compliance, and Identity (SCI) ecosystem, which is alreadyrecognisedas a world-leading integrated security platform.\n\nYou will:\nWork with Avanade customers to design and implement Zero Trust architectures using Microsoftsecurity solutions, focusing on data protection.\n\nLead the deployment and configuration of:\n\nMicrosoft Purviewfor data governance, compliance, Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention and Inside Risk Management\n\nMicrosoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, and Cloud Apps\n\nMicrosoft Defender for Cloudfor cloud security posture management\n\nDevelop and maintaindata classification, labelling, and retention policies.\n\nDevelop and implement DSPM strategies for AI systems, ensuring secure data flows, modelintegrity, and privacy compliance.\n\nConductdata protection risk assessmentsand recommend mitigation strategies.\n\nSupportsecurity workshops, discovery sessions, and technical governance activities\n\nProvide guidance oncompliance frameworks, data lifecycle management, and privacy controls\n\nProvide technical guidance and training to internal teams on Microsoft security tools.\n\nStay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and Microsoft product updates.\n\nWork independently, with occasional validation of work efforts against strategic and operationalobjectives\n\n.\nSkills & Experience\nProven experience with Microsoft Security technologies including Microsoft Purview, Defender, Sentinel, and Entra ID.\n\nHands-on experience with DLP policy design,migrationand refinement\n\nStrong understanding of data protection regulations (e.g.Privacy Act 1988, GDPR, CCPA, DPA 2018, ISO 27001, NIST, EU AI Act).\n\nFamiliarity with AI security concepts, including DSPM, model governance, and data lineage.\n\nUnderstanding ofZero Trustarchitecture and cloud-native security controls.\n\nExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.\n\nRelevant certifications (e.g., SC-401, SC-200, AZ-500, CISSP, CIPP/E, AI-specific certs) are highly desirable.\n\nIdeally, you would have had experience working on the Microsoftplatform,howeverwe can provide focused training to the right candidates who candemonstratetheir passion,experienceand thought leadership in this space.\nTo hit the ground running, your skills may include:\nProven experience of Microsoft Purview Information Protection and with data classification infrastructures and techniques toclassifyingunstructured and structured data both on-premises and in the cloud.\n\nProven experience of Data Loss Prevention technologies across endpoints,emailand the internet, including Microsoft Purview.\n\nProven experience securing Microsoft 365,leveragingMicrosoft Secure Score with a deep understanding of the security capabilities of Microsoft 365.\n\nProven experience in techniques and approaches towards the protection of data stored in databases and applications.\n\nDeepexpertisein data confidentiality and data integrity principles.\n\nDeepexpertiseof business, privacy, security, and compliance challenges surrounding Data\n\nProtection, including being able to research and understand data privacy requirements.\n\nA keen interest in Cyber Security,maintaininga good understanding of capabilities across the industry, and in developing their own Cyber experience to continue progression.\n\nWith an eye to the future, you are aware of emerging technologies in the Data Protection space.\n\nAbout you\nExperience in consulting and advisory discussions with clients and other consulting firms\n\nExperience in owning the design and implementation of technology solutions\n\nYou are a subject matter expert, who has experience working on the Microsoft platform\n\nExperience managing deliverables andbeing responsible fordelivering against critical milestones\n\nAbility to collaborate within a large globalorganisation\n\nYou have implemented work plans for assigned projects,programsand clients againstestablished operational objectives\n\nYou are seen as a role model and act as a leader\n\nYou maypossessone or more certifications\n\n* Australian citizenship isrequired, and candidates must be eligible to obtain security clearance.
