Today, we support more than 90,000 health practitioners and medical students with market-leading products and services.\n\nAbout the Role\nWe’re seeking an organised and proactive Personal Assistant to join our MI Civil Claims team in Melbourne on a full-time, permanent basis.\nYou’ll provide high-quality secretarial and administrative support to Practice Managers, Claims Managers and Medical Advisors, helping deliver an efficient and professional service to Avant’s members.\n\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare, format and proofread claims documentation, correspondence, statements and submissions.\nManage digital dictation, document filing and claims records in line with established procedures.\nProcess payments, invoices and accounts accurately and within required timeframes.\nHandle telephone enquiries and messages, escalating urgent matters promptly.\nMaintain confidentiality and ensure claims documentation is managed securely.\nProcess government recovery applications, reconcile invoices and prepare documentation for the Reinsurance team.\nProvide general administrative support to the Civil Claims team as required.\n\nAbout You\nYou’re a detail-oriented administrator with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy professional environment.\nYou’ll ideally bring:\nDemonstrated experience in administration and secretarial support.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nStrong time management and organisational skills.\nHigh attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office.\nPrevious experience in a legal, insurance or health administration environment will be highly regarded.\n\nWhy Join Avant?\nJoin a purpose-driven organisation that plays an important role in supporting Australia’s medical profession.
