Each subsequent week, the start time moves 30 minutes earlier until it reaches 4:30am, after which it resets back to 4:30pm). \nAbout the role:\nAs a Class 1 Driver, you will complete your driver envelopes with start and finish times as well as POA and ensure that you update your work record by completing manual entries when you enter your digital card into a digital tachograph.\nYou will correctly complete a pre-op check of the vehicle and report any defects using the agreed procedure. Part of the role is to ensure security of the load and good welfare of the birds at all times and maintain communication with the transport office with regard to delays.\nKey responsibilities may include:\nCollecting livestock from several farms as set out by the daily catching plan and deliver safely to the Brackley site \nEnsuring security of the load prior to transportation and checking bird welfare at all times \nDelivering finished, refrigerated goods nationwide\nCorrectly completing all necessary paperwork associated with the work you have undertaken correctly (weighbridge slips, poultry transport certificates etc) \nMaintaining good communication with the transport office with regards to issues or delays \nWearing the approved and provided protective equipment and practicing Health and Safety at all times\nWhat you’ll need to be successful:\nYou will have at least 6 months Class 1 driving experience \nYou will hold a current CPC and Tacho Card \nYou will have no more than 9 points on your license \nIt is essential that you have good knowledge of driver regulations\nYou will have the ability to be flexible with the business needs and have a positive working attitude\nWho are we, and what do we do?\nYou may not have heard of us, but there’s a good chance you’ve enjoyed our products.
