In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale systems using API-first design principles, AI SDLC practices, and distributed system patterns. You will work within an autonomous team covering end-to-end delivery-from architectural design to containerized deployment and production troubleshooting. \nKey Responsibilities\nArchitecture & Solutions Engineering\nCore Domain Development: Architect and implement Predictive, Progressive, and Preview outbound systems using Go-based microservices and API-first design.\nManagement & Admin Interfaces: Develop configuration and administration management interfaces built on Node.js.\nFrontend Engineering: Build responsive, high-performance web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript alongside React or Angular frameworks.\nBackend Systems: Design, build, and deploy enterprise microservices capable of handling high TPS with ultra-low latency, high resiliency, and scalability.\nTechnical Leadership & Quality Focus\nDomain SME: Serve as a domain Subject Matter Expert (SME), drive key architecture decisions, and perform rigorous code reviews across Agile/Scrum teams.\nQuality & Performance: Enforce high quality standards through static analysis, load & performance profiling, and system tuning.\nAI Integration: Utilize AI coding assistants (e.g., Codex, Cursor, Claude) and prompt engineering to optimize workflows across assessment, planning, code generation, testing, and deployment.\nOperations & Observability\nDevOps & Delivery: Operate within a self-sufficient team handling containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm (Argo CD experience is a plus).\nObservability & Incident Management: Debug complex production issues, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), and maintain operational reliability using Grafana, Prometheus, and telemetry tools.\nPreferred Candidate Profile\nEducation: B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech / M.C.A. in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.\nTotal Experience: 12+ years of overall experience architecting, designing, developing, deploying, and troubleshooting cloud API-based microservices (Cloud Native & Hybrid) and frontends.\nBackend Expertise: 10+ years of core backend engineering experience.\nFull-Stack Expertise: 5+ years of full-stack web application development experience.\nAI SDLC Practices: 1+ years utilizing AI Agents & Skills for planning, code generation, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting.\nTechnical Skills & Competencies\nBackend: Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or Node.js.\nFrontend: JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, and SDKs.\nDatabases & Streaming: Kafka, Redis, MariaDB / MySQL.\nArchitecture: Microservices architecture, distributed systems design, and RESTful APIs.\nCloud & DevOps: Hands-on experience with Azure or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CI/CD pipelines, and continuous delivery patterns (Argo CD preferred).\nDomain Expertise: Strong background in Telecommunications or Contact Centers (Outbound Contact Center background preferred).\nExperience\n12+ Years of ExperienceEducation\nBachelor degree or equivalent experienceAdvance Degree preferred in Computer Science or Related FieldFooter\nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.\nAvaya is an Equal Opportunity employer and a U.S. Federal Contractor.
